Marvel Legends Series 6" Nick Fury (Giant Man BAF)

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Series 6" Nick Fury.

I didn't think we would see this Nick Fury again. What with the more recognisable Ultimate/MCU version around. He looks pretty good. I feel he should have more wrinkles and facial lines. He does have a five o'clock shadow. There's a bit of textured detail at his chin and cheek. The hair looks really nice. I especially like the little curled part on his right side. The hair has good paint apps too. The body reuses the Bucky Captain America body. He's dressed in the familiar SHIELD uniform. He has gloved hands. All of his gear were added and are separate pieces. The belt was stuck on. The leg holster relies on friction to stay up. There's great sculpted detail on his gear. There's a number of pouches. The buckles and buttons were painted with a bluish silver, and there's a black wash on his gear. This contrasts with his clean boots which makes things look out of place.

Accessories. He comes with two other heads, one of Dirk Anger and the other a helmeted SHIELD agent. He also comes with his needle gun. It's a little small. There's nice detail on it but is is very plastic looking. The Giant Man BAF part is the left arm. Click images to enlarge.

I don't know anything about Dirk Anger. I never read the series. Based on online pics the head sculpt has a good likeness. I like his expression. Evil looking and with a goofiness about him. He kinda reminds me of Dr Heinz Doof what's his name from Phineas and Ferb. The eye visor thingy is cool. The eyes were well painted. I can't say the same for the hair. There are several visible unpainted spots. The SHIELD uniform is wrong him. I'll probably use the head with some other body.

A look at the helmeted SHIELD agent. He's wearing a heavy duty mask with double air filters. I like there's some black shading on the silver parts. There's a rubber looking seal at the lower portion of the helmet. He should be pretty safe from hazardous gases.

While we're swapping heads here's something else we can do. Presenting Nick Senior and Junior.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots. I still prefer the Toy Biz one. I like the head sculpt and the overall look better. This one would be my second choice.

Nick Fury is okay. I'm more interested in building more SHIELD agents and characters with the body. Thanks for viewing!

I am so happy that they put the Dirk Anger head in. Nextwave is one of the best comics I've ever read.
I'm hoping against hope that Hasbro might give us the rest of the Nextwave team (maybe in a box set?) someday.

Is there any way to take off the chest holster and put nuke's vest on him? I think it would look cool. Thanks

The chest holster can be removed. I think Nuke's jacket would be too big on him

Thanks. Just one more question. Do you think the dum dum dugan head would fit well with the new fury body?

Dum Dum's head can fit the peg but sits too high on the neck. It looks small on the body. I don't recommend it.
