K-On! Figma Ui Hirasawa

I originally intended to just get the five Light Music Club members. But due to timing of things, Nodoka became available which I bought. That left me just one away from a complete set. As you can see, I broke and bought Ui as well.

K-On! Figma Azusa Nakano

Azusa is a guitarist and is the only junior member of the Light Music Club. She is a year younger than all the other members. She's better with the guitar than Yui who would ask her for help on playing. She takes things seriously most of the time and wishes that the other club members would practice playing music more.

K-On! Figma Tsumugi Kotobuki

Mugi is the keyboard player. She is mild-mannered and can be child like and obsessive over things. She comes from a wealthy family and would often bring expensive tea and snacks for her friends.

K-On! Figma Ritsu Tainaka

Ritsu is the drummer and the self appointed president of the Light Music Club. She often neglects her resposibilites. She is loud and likes to fool around. She is also thoughtful and caring. I especially like her interactions with their mentor, Sawa-chan.

K-On! Figma Mio Akiyama

Mio is the bassists and also does vocals where the situation calls for it. I prefer Yui's singing overall but for certain songs, I prefer Mio's. She's more mature and responsible, and has to keep the group in check at times. She is a very popular girl and is often made fun of. I like to say I feel for her but in truth I want to see more of it for her reactions.

K-On! Figma Yui Hirasawa

I don't think I ever followed an anime series before. It's always been superhero related and other cartoons. But I found myself hooked on K-On!. I only chanced upon it while channel surfing. Season 1 episode 9 was my first episode, Azusa had just joined the club. I've been enjoying the series on Animax ever since and am just a couple of episodes from the end of the series at the time of typing. I love the show and just had to get the figures of the characters.

I decided to do a K-on! special showcase and it starts right here. Over the next few posts you'll see the Figma figures made by Max Factory. I hope to bring out each character through them. This may be old to you but do drop in and have a look. Maybe bring up some fun memories. First up, Yui Hirasawa. Let's go !

How to Train Your Dragon

I caught the show on DVD some time back. Loved it, thought it was good. Went to check out the toys on the net. Didn't know that so many were produced. Lots of characters, dragons and playsets. And there are two scales too, 3.5" and 7".

Revoltech Iron Man

I've been looking forward to this ever since it was announced. Had a lot of fun posing and fiddling around with it.

Justice League Unlimited Joker / Batman / Gray Ghost

Next up, JLU Batman and Joker in BTAS style and Gray Ghost 3-pack. This set is not the first time the line visits characters from other DC animated series. We already got the Gotham 4-pack, Batman Beyond and old Bruce Wayne to name a few.

Justice League Unlimited Warlord and Deimos

This is the final year for JLU according to Mattel. It's my favourite DC line. I'm glad we got so many figures and look forward to the remaining releases. Though I wished it was more easily available. I know its tough to find for those in the US, but it is even more difficult and more costly for collectors overseas. Anyway, my first JLU purchase this year is the Warlord / Supergirl / Deimos 3-pack.

Batman: the Brave and the Bold Kryptonite Collision Battle Pack

Got the Kryptonite Collision Battle Pack from the Batman: the Brave and the Bold line. We get three figures, namely Superman, Metallo and of course Batman. This pack is a bit of a surprise as it wasn't showcased at any of the toy cons. But I expected Superman to get a figure in this line.
