Marvel Legends Series What If...? Zombie Captain America & Zombie Hunter Spider-man

Here's a look at the Zombie Captain America and the Zombie Hunter Spider-man.

I missed out on the Marvel Select zombies so I'm happy that I have another opportunity to get some. And I do hope we do get a couple more otherwise Zombie Cap is going to be all by himself. Zombie Cap is an all new figure. New head, new torso and new pinless arms and legs. He's been chewed up pretty bad. His rib cage is exposed on the front and back. He has flesh missing from his legs. You can see the bone through the holes in his legs. All of his wounds have blood leaking out or splattered around them. There's some blood stains on his costume as well. To add to the horrific sight his right sleeve and right pants legs is torn and tattered, and the back of his costume is shredded. Then there's also the chewed up harness. I can't imagine what he went through. His right leg is shorter than his left as he's missing a boot. The difference in length makes sense here.

He's got a nice head sculpt. He looks pretty gruesome. He comes across a little cartoony though with that stretched mouth. There are holes in his cheeks. You can see his teeth and the inside of his mouth through them. His eyes are yellowish white and has a red outline around them. His helmet is a separate piece stuck on. Like the star on his chest the A and the wings were painted a dirty gold in colour. It's supposed to be white but this works as it's bound to get bloody and dirty. The strap of the helmet has come undone and it's hanging down the right side of his face.

Accessories. Zombie Cap only comes with a shield. It has blood splatters on it. The blood appears purplish.

Next up Zombie Hunter Spidey.

I wouldn't say Spidey and his group were hunting zombies. Rather they were trying to survive. But I guess Zombie Hunter sounds better than Survivor Spidey. Spidey is on a new torso. I would have preferred if they had reused one of the MCU Spidey's body. This one doesn't have the butterfly joints which is disappointing. Still he looks pretty good. I like the bright colour tones. The red at his ab area is a little faded compared to that of his upper torso. The sculpted lines are decent. I would have liked if they did some black lining for them. There are several raised, silver painted pellets at his waist. Web cartridges perhaps. The arms are new and pinless. The web shooters on his wrists are separate pieces. His head looks new as well. The legs I think reuses those from the Homecoming figure. His suit has several blood stains on it. There's a spot on his right upper torso and a large spot on his left thigh area. Both his feet have blood stains as well.

Accessories. He comes with an unmasked head, a pair of fists and the Cloak of Levitation. The included BAF part is the right leg of The Watcher.

The unmasked head has a good likeness to how he appeared in the show. He looks a little sad which is understandable after all he's been through. His eyes and lips were well done. There's some blush on his cheeks. His hair is combed on one side and standing up on the other.

Swapped heads with the No Way Home Spider-man. This unmasked head doesn't look too bad on the NWH body. The NWH head is small for this body.

The cape looks really nice. I like the shape. It's not overly raised and flowy like with the Dr Strange Supreme. This is just nice. It'll look good in walking poses. There's not a lot of sculpted design on it. What you see on the back is all there is. The inside is plain. As it drapes over his shoulders he won't be able to raise or extend his arms out too much.

Swapping on the cape with Dr Strange. It looks good on him. The cape on Spidey doesn't sit well as there's a peg.

His web shooting hands are of a brighter tone than his costume and fists. It's odd that it's like this. Normally Hasbro is quite consistent with hand colours.

Articulation

Zombie Captain America has a dumbbell joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, diaphragm joint, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, left boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down decently. The elbows and knees have good range. He can bend forward a little. He can bend back and tilt his body to the side more.

Spider-man has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down very well. The elbows have good range. The ab crunch allows one click forward and one click back.

Comparison shots.

Both are nice figures. I hope they release a couple more zombie figures to go along with Cap. Thanks for viewing!

Awesome figures and photos. I agree. They need to make more Marvel Zombies.
