Marvel Legends Series Fantastic Four Retro Card Human Torch

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Retro Carded Human Torch.

Oh Hasbro why must you consistently annoy us... this could have been a really good figure but no. You just couldn't be bothered to get the job done properly. What's got me so annoyed is that there are no black lines on his back at all... and the sides of his body, arms and legs could use some as well... very very annoying and frustrating.

The figure reuses the Sunfire body with the head and arms (bicep onwards) of the Walgreens Human Torch. The classic Human Torch does not have any shape or part of his costume visible so this works well. Plus he now has butterfly joints. The whole figure is translucent. The colour tone we get is just like in the comics. The black lines were done very well. I hate to say it again but I just wish they done more. The sculpted flames on his head and arms is just the plain orange in colour. It could use some shading on them.

Some close-ups of his head. His eyes are yellow in colour.

Here's how he looks under a different ligthting setup.

Accessories. He comes with an extra set of fists, two flame effect pieces for the hands and one flame effect piece to be placed on the shoulders. We have seen all of this before.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots. For the classic look with the lines the Toy Biz version stands out immediately.

This is a good figure. I'm very annoyed about the missing lines. Thanks for viewing!
