Marvel Legends Series Doppelganger Spider-man & Spider-Woman (Molten Man BAF)

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Doppelganger Spider-man and Spider-woman.

First up is the Julia Carpenter Spider-woman. This is actually my first Legends figure of her as I missed out on the Toy Biz version back then. Great to finally have her in the collection. She looks great! The head sculpt is spot on. She looks like she stepped out right out of the comics. Very very nice! There's some paint issues at her mask but it's nothing major. I love her hair. Love the shape and the shading done for it. The body reuses the Silver Sable body. There's only paint detail to speak off. Unfortunately I didn't get one with good paint apps. The logo appears off centre and the spider body on the upper torso is too big and does not align well with the rest of the body at her abs areas.

Accessories. She comes with an alternate right hand with a psi-web effect. The included BAF parts are the torso pieces for Molten Man.

Now I can't quite recall the look of her webs but surely there isn't a big glob of "glue" being shot out at the same time. I must say I do like the look of the web though.

Next up Doppelganger.

Doppelganger Spider-man is exactly as the name suggests, he's a doppelganger of Spider-man. According to wiki, he was created by Magus during the Infinity War. He lived through that and stuck around long enough for the events of Maximum Carnage. I remember reading that but it was such a long time ago. The figure reuses the six-arm Spider-man body with a new head sculpt, hands and feet. The head sculpt looks good. I like the shape of it. Kinda insect like. I also like the textured eyes and the sculpted teeth. He looks menacing. His costume is of a darker tone which suits the character.

He does not come with any accessories. The included BAF part is the right arm of Molten Man.

Articulation

Doppelganger has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivels, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. All arms have the same articulation as listed above.

Spider-woman has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look down but not up due to her hair. Head rotation is also restricted by her hair.

Comparison shots.

Both figures are nice additions. Thanks for viewing!

Great job on that Spiderwoman, just wish they had included alternate fists for her to slug someone with every now & then. I think all figures should come with alternate hands & at least 1 alternate head sculpt. I'd rather they do that & exclude the BAFs. Larger characters should just be sold as a deluxe edition also with alternate hands/head, I'd easily pay $35 for that.
