SDCC 2015 Marvel Legends Book of the Vishanti Hela

The final figure from the SDCC Book of the Vishanti set, Hela.

Hela is a bit of surprise in this Book of the Vishanti set, which is more associated with Dr Strange. I don't know if they faced each other before. That could be a reason for it. I'm not complaining though as we are short of figures of Asgardian related characters as well. Hela has got a great head sculpt. And I really like how all the horn thingys for her mask turned out. You have to connect the back two pair. It is removable if you find them getting in the way. Her eyes are silver which stands out well. Her flesh tone and lips were very well painted. The body uses the Thundra body. The colours of her costume is fantastic! The base is a shiny emerald green. In the light, some areas appear light green and other areas dark. A very cool look! The light green pattern of her costume was very well painted. The lines are straight and sharp. She wears a soft goods cape which is connected to the shoulder armour piece. The cape is a little crumpled, no thanks to my eagerness to pull the figure out... The soft goods cape is good as it allows the figure to pose and sit better. On the other hand it lacks dynamism. The shoulder piece pegs into the back of the body and is removable.

A quick look at her back. There's paint detail here as well.

Accessories. Hela comes with a sword. I wasn't sure of the name so I looked it up. I think it's called the Nightsword.  Based on images the sword is accurate to how it appears in the comics. The blade is normally silver in colour and gives out a green glow when her powers are in use, which is what we have here. I think the colour matches her better. There is nice detail on the hilt. A minor gripe is some black paint specks have got onto the green areas.

Articulation. She's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, torso pivot, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! The Forces of the Dark Dimensions are growing. That's all for the SDCC 2015 Marvel Legends Book of the Vishanti set. Love it! Thanks for viewing!
