Marvel Legends Series The Infinity Saga Captain America (Infinity War)

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Infinity Saga Captain America from Avengers: Inifinity War.

Captain America was one figure I did not intend to pick up. I was looking at my toy bins the other day and I saw that I had many versions of various characters which I was unlikely to display. Space is a problem and I wasn't keen to get another Cap. That is until a friend persuaded me to have a look at it. He was quite insistent and so I obliged.

I was actually thrown off by the tone of the blue of his costume. It's brighter than what he wore in Infinity War. But seeing the head sculpts up close and the new pinless arms convinced me that this is a worthwhile figure and so I got it. The likeness is so much better. They did a great job with his beard and hair. I like that it has some shading in it. The body reuses the previous version's body with new arms. These pinless arms are bulkier and more muscular. Now this is the proper look for Cap. He looks more imposing with them. There's a good amount of creases and wrinkles for his rolled up sleeves. The gloves are separate and have nicely sculpted detail on them. The belt is the same one as before. It has more paint detail on it than previously. It and the harness are also too bright tone for my liking.

Some close-ups.

Just to show you the inside of his gloves which are painted.

Here's the comparison with the previous version. The new head sculpt and arms are an improvement. I just wish that the colour of the costume was of a darker tone...

The previous version didn't even have a glove...

Accessories. He comes with an alternate angry head, a pair of fist and two Wakandan shields.

Now we know how grumpy Cap is when you wake him up in the morning. Lol. The angry, gritted teeth face is very memorable, especially in the Infinity War trailer. I was very hyped after watching that scene of his up against Thanos. The angry head too has a good likeness. His hair is a bit messed up here. It's raised and there's a couple of locks sticking out at the sides. The hair and beard also has the shading in it.

Here's a side by side of both of the heads. The heads may fit on the previous body if you want to do that.

The Wakandan shields we are getting this time round are screen accurate.

We get one closed shield and one expanded shield with the blades showing. I like that they applied some gun metal paint for it.

On the inside is a strap and handle. Getting him to grip the handles can be quite frustrating as you need to pry open his fingers in that confined space.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists. ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! Glad I was persuaded to take a look at it. I would have loved if his costume was of a darker tone. Thanks for viewing!

Great review, Jason! The neutral headsculpt is much better than the angry one. Baffling how how made the suit such a bright color when they had all this time to develop it.

Can the Endgame Steve Rogers head fit on this Infinity War one?
