Marvel Legends Series Disney+ US Agent & Captain America

A very much delayed look at the Marvel Legends Disney+ US Agent and Captain America.

Let's get US Agent out of the way first. Clearly the look is not accurate. I know that time is needed in order to manufacture figures. I just wish they could have swapped this with the Walmart Exclusive blue costumed version. That way maybe some changes could be made, such as giving us a helmet without the star and painting the stripes of his costume correctly. Check out the back of the package to see how he is supposed to look. That said, this is still a great looking figure. I especially like the sculpted detail of his attire. And another great thing is most of it is textured. Very nice! The belt was stuck on. I feel it was placed a little too high up his body. It does not interfere or get stretched when his waist is turned though, like with some previous figures. The gun in his holster is not removable unfortunately. That is very annoying. The paint application is good. I have no real complaints. The head sculpt is good. I think they nailed the likeness. And I like that he's got a bit of a stern expression.

Some close-ups of his face. They did his eyes really well.

Accessories. He only comes with an extra set of fists. He should really have come with a pistol at least... The included part is the left outer wing piece of Captain America's flight gear.

Next up, Captain America.

There's a new Cap in the MCU and he's looking pretty good. I like the look and the colours. This is a lot more Captain America-ish than the costume John Walker wore. And thankfully this figure is a lot more show accurate. There's a good amount of detail on his costume. You can make out the design elements on it. The areas which are not padded is textured. The paint apps are quite poor. There's quite a bit of slop all over the place. His feet are a lot more shinier than the upper portion of his boots. I wish they were the same matte silver. The head sculpt is nice. I'm liking the translucent visor and the detail of his hair. Like with his costume, the paint apps here could be better. Another thing I feel that could be better is his size. He needs a bit more bulk. He looks fine on his own but when compared with other figures he looks a bit scrawny. He did seem bulkier in the show.

There are thrusters in-built in his boot. I didn't know he had them.

Close-ups of his face. You can actually make out his eyes through his visor. The following pics don't really show them. The best example I have would be pic at the top of the page.

Accessories. He comes with his shield and flight pack.

There's more to his gear than just those. Here's the parts list for the full set of his wings:

Here's how he looks with the wings. The wingspan is impressive.

You probably noticed holes in this flight pack. The big one in the centre is where the stand pegs into. Its not really needed as he can stand pretty well on his own. The tiny hole is where Redwing attaches to.

Redwing is on a ball joint and you can position it in various directions.

The wings have a good amount of movability. The inner wing pieces near the pack may be moved up and down a little. The middle and outer wing pieces are on hinges which swing both inward and outwards. It is possible to make it compact enough to shield Captain America decently.

Here's just to show you the straps of the shield. It needs a peg so that it can be clipped on to his back or flight pack.

Articulation

US Agent has a dumbbell joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. The ab crunch allows about three quarters of a click forward and one click back.

Captain America has a dumbbell joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down decently. I would have liked if he could look up more for flying poses. The ab crunch allows one solid click forward and one click back.

Comparison shots.

US Agent is a good figure. Just needs a more show accurate costume and a pistol. Captain America is great. I feel he needs a little more bulk. Thanks for viewing!
