Hail Hydra!
You might want to keep the cardboard insert as it has the Hydra logo printed on it. It'll make for a nice backdrop. The Hydra Trooper two-pack had one too. I prefer the green background to brown though.
If you don't already know Hydra Supreme is actually Steve Rogers (Captain America) who, due to an encounter with Kobik, had his memories rewritten into thinking he's a Hydra agent since World War II. Check out the "Secret Empire" story if you like to know what happened. Personally I didn't like it.
The figure is based on the look he wore near the end of the story. He's wearing a partially armoured suit which looks similar to Iron Man's. It even has "repulsors" in the hands which you'll see a little further down. I believe the hands were reused from an Iron Man figure. I can't think of which one at the moment. Speaking of reused parts, the arms and lower legs reuses those of the Udon Taskmaster. The torso and upper legs are new. The size and bulk of him is great. And I love the textured detailed of the non-armour areas. It has a scaly appearance. The amour has some nice sculpted detail on it. There's no hole on the back for which to peg his shield in. I'm fine with that. I can't recall him carrying his shield on his back in this suit. Besides a hole will only spoil the skeletal framework detail. The gold and green colour scheme reminds me a lot of Serpentor. A potential custom perhaps.
The shape of the helmet is also similar to Iron Man's. The A was sculpted, as were the "wings" on the sides.
Just to show you the "repulsor" in his hand.
I won't be talking too much on Arnim Zola. He's almost the same figure which we got previously. He's been updated with some different parts. He's got a new "eyeball" type camera and has different arms. The arms might be from Colossus come to think of it. The screen image of his face is different as well. Here he looks to be taking delight in something. One minor issue for me is the "frame" of the screen cannot be pegged down properly. It sticks out and is noticeable from some angles. He looks great overall and I quite like the shiny gold and purple colour scheme.
Accessories
Hydra Supreme comes with a shield in matching colours. There's some nice sculpted detail on it. It utilises the familiar peg and clip system for which to hold it by. Do be careful when clipping the shield onto his forearm as there have been several reports of the clip portion breaking.
Arnim Zola comes with an alternate classic rectangular head and his remote control thingy. They are the same as what we got previously, just in different colours.
Articulation
Hydra Supreme has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulder, bicep swivel double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, swivel at the top of the ankle and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. He can bend backwards well. Forward bend is not as great.
Arnim Zola has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, swivel hinge wrists, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. There's only head rotation with the eyeball head. The thigh swivel seems to be stuck. Do be careful when trying to use that joint.
Comparison shots.
Both great figures! I'm liking Hydra Supreme a lot. Thanks for viewing!
