Marvel Legends Series Winter Soldier (Captain America: Civil War)

Team Cap is coming along nicely. You saw Falcon now here's the Winter Soldier based on his appearance in Captain America: Civil War.

Though there's quite a bit of of parts reused on the figure, this Bucky looks better than the previous one. A lot of that is due to the great head sculpt. I think he's got a good likeness. He has a plain icy look devoid of emotion which suggests he might be under mind control. I like it. His eyes have good paint. Unfortunately he's looking to his right on my figure. There's great detail in his hair. Another great thing is that it has some black shading in it. Very nice! The body reuses the arms and legs of the previous figure. The torso is new. He looks a little out of proportion. The legs seem a little long. I would have liked if he were able to put his arms closer to his body. The jacket has a thick appearance which is fine as he did look rather bulky in the movie. There's great detail on it. They did a great job with the front zip. You can make out the tiny lines for it. I like that they painted it and also the gun handle and buckles of his sculpted on harness. The belt is a separate piece. It can be an annoyance as it moves around when posing the figure.

I tried on the masked head we got from the Mandroid BAF series. It can fit and it looks good on the figure. We'll need to darken the hair so as to be more screen accurate.

Accessories. He comes with a knife and handgun. They are the same ones that came with Scourge from the Red Onslaught BAF series. I don't like this particular handgun as the handle is quite big. He can just barely grip it and it looks awkward for him to use. At least only the handle is brown and not the whole gun. The knife too has a brown handle. The blade is black in colour.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. He is able to spread his arms and legs quite wide. The ab crunch allows two clicks forwards and one click back. Having him bend forward will reveal an unsightly gap on his back. The insight of the ab joint is has no detail and will "break" the look of his attire.

Action shots.

Comparison shots. Bucky is a little too tall. If I'm not wrong he and Cap are around the same height in the movies.

I like the look of the figure. I just wish he were shorter and had better accessories. Thanks for viewing!
