Star Wars Black Series 6" Luke Skywalker (Bespin)

I'm still on a Star Wars high after May the 4th. I thought I'll crack open some Star Wars figures.

Here's Bespin Luke. This is the getup he wore when he goes to rescue Han and the others in The Empire Strikes Back. They did an excellent job with his attire. It's textured. You can make out the fabric lines of it. There's also the sculpted pockets, sections and the creases. To top it off it's got some black shading on it which really brings out the detail. Great stuff. The boots were also well done. Especially the weathered effect of it. The sculpt is a little weird though. It has a flattened shaped. It looks like a Wampa stepped on him. He wears a very nice looking belt. It's got good paint detail. There's black mixed in with the brown and the buttons and buckle were well painted in silver. The head sculpt is okay. There's a pretty good likeness to Mark Hamill. He's got a bit of an anxious look which suits him for the scene. The hair was very well done.

He comes with a blaster pistol and a lightsaber. The pistol has great detail on it. Even the handle is textured. Very nice.

The blaster pistol fits well in the holster. It needs some nudging to get it in though as the barrel is soft and the end of it is big. There's a strap on the holster which is used to secure the weapon.

The thigh strap of the holster is loose around the thigh. It's also quite flexible. This allows him to lift his right leg with little hindrance. He also can lift his leg out to the side.

The lightsaber has nice sculpted detail and also very good paint detail. The blade portion is light blue in colour and is removable.

There's a hook on his belt where he can hang the lightsaber on.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, vertical hinge and swivel wrists, pivot at the ab area, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots. The head sculpt is different from X-wing Luke's and the hair colour is different. Bespin Luke's hair colour is closer to what it should be if I remember correctly but it still looks off.

He is a little short for a Stormtrooper.

Great figure. It would have been even better if he came with an alternate head with a battle worn look and if his right forearm were removable. Thanks for viewing!

Looks pretty good- these are very tempting- may have to get a Han Solo!

The light saber is separated from blue beam. Hasbro finally learns that from Medicom. It saves costs in making one extra light saber without beam :)
