Marvel Avengers Infinite Series 3.75" Thor (Eric Masterson)

Here's the last new figure from the latest wave, Thor.

This figure is of the Eric Masterson Thor (EMT). Eric was fatally wounded and Thor was bonded with him to save his life. Eric would later be known as Thunderstrike with a new look. What distinguishes the EMT from the original is his helmet and the shape of his boots. The helmet he wore covered his eyes. The figure has a new head sculpt. There are no pupils painted in but I think he looks okay. The thick beard and light blonde hair makes him look old.  I quite like it. The body is largely the Secret Wars Thor with Beta Ray Bill's boots. The boots are not accurate but it'll work. The plastic used for his arms and trousers is a little shiny.

He comes with Mjonir. It's similar to the one that came with the Secret Wars figure but this one (right) has a shiny silver paint with black dry brushing. The handle is also of a darker brown.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, wrist swivel, torso pivot, waist swivel, ball hips, double jointed knees, and ankle swivel and hinge. He could use some thigh swivel.

Comparison shots.

It's a nice figure. I doubt I'll display him though. I would prefer a figure of Thunderstrike.

Just a quick word on a couple of the re-released figures in the case. Yellowjacket is a lighter yellow and does not come with the mini Ant-Man.

Commander Roger's uniform is of a lighter blue and does not have any shading. His hair colour is also a little darker.

Thanks for viewing!

I would of liked to have seen a full on Thunderstrike figure but maybe later on in the line perhaps.
