Marvel Legends Spider-man Retro Series Tarantula

With Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse opening this week I thought to get round to some Spider-man figures. First up, Tarantula.

I'm happy that we finally have got a new figure of Tarantula. I'm not happy that his mask is blue... It's not inaccurate. He has been shown with a blue mask in the comics. I just very much prefer him with a black mask. It would go better with the rest of his costume. The blue sticks out too much for me. The body reuses the Sunfire body with new feet. His feet have the spikes sticking out at the tip.  The logo and the lines were all well applied.

He does not come with any accessories.

A closer look at his face. His mask was sculpted which is nice to see. You also can make out some wrinkles in it. He has a hint of a smile and has a cocky expression. His moustache was well done.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. The spikes though flexible have a little thickness to them and can help support a pose for a short time.

Comparison shots.

The figure is nice. Not a fan of the blue mask. Still, am glad to have a proper figure of him to display finally. Thanks for viewing!
