Star Wars The Black Series Ahsoka Tano (The Mandalorian)

Here's a look at the Star Wars The Black Series Ahsoka Tano based on her appearance in The Mandalorian.

It was awesome to see Ahsoka in The Mandalorian and also the Book of Boba Fett! I'm glad she survives pass Return of the Jedi. She is of course much older and this is reflected in the head sculpt. She has a more mature and serious look about her. She has a very good likeness to Rosario Dawson who plays her in the live action shows. Her facial features were well done. The markings on her face was well painted. So too the pattern on her headtails. The headtails are shorter than what she had previously. You can see the comparisons further down. The body is new. I'm not sure what the correct colours should be for her top. I thought it was supposed to be dark grey or black. Still the dark navy blue and grey combination looks good. I quite like the difference in colour instead of her attire being all black. Her baggy pants are black in colour and has quite a bit of folds and creases in it. It's textured too. Hasbro did a great job with the knee joints. They are well incorporated in the sculpt. You don't see them from the front but you can see them from the sides and back. Her boots are tabi shoes like. (The shoes worn by ninja with the split toes.) Didn't know about that. Interesting.

Here's some close-ups of her face. Really nice! The wrappings on her arms were well sculpted on. You can make out the layering and the creases. The belt section is a separate piece. It has good detail on it and is textured. There's actually some sculpted design on the ring. I like that they painted it, the studs and parts of the string.

Accessories. She comes with her lightsabers. One is longer than the other, and both have curved hilts. I believe they are new. The are slightly thicker than those we got previously. Both have some nice sculpted detail on them. The longer one has some black paint applied on the hilt. Both blades are white in colour.

As with previous lightsabers, the blades are removable. There are pegs at her waist where they can be stored. The longer lightsaber tends to drop out though.

Articulation. She has a dumbbell joint upper neck, dumbbell joint lower neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, swivel hinge elbows, swivel and up and down hinge wrists, ball joint waist, ball hips, thigh swivel, swivel hinge knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She cannot look up or down much due to her headtails. Turning her head is also restricted. The elbows bend a little more than ninety degrees. The waist joint allows decent bend back and to the sides. There's not much forwards.

The butterfly joints have good range towards the back as you can see below. It does not turn as much to the front but it's still useful. She's able to comfortably hold a lightsaber double-handed.

Below shows how much she's able to raise her leg. The knees bend about ninety degrees.

Action time!

Comparison shots. Her skin tone becomes lighter the older she gets it seems. Also her headtails are shorter now.

Great figure! I love the look and articulation. Thanks for viewing!
