Marvel Legends Series 6" Spider-Gwen (Edge of Spider-Verse)

It's Gwensday!

One of the most popular characters to come out of Spider-Verse, Spider-Gwen! The figure reuses the Spider-Girl body. I think the feet are new. She has smooth feet unlike the boot like textured ones that were used previously. This goes along well with the rest of her costume. She has a web shooting right hand and a left fist. Fixed hands like these affect the way of posing the figure. I wish Hasbro would include additional interchangeable hands for the female characters. The paint apps are okay for the costume. The web lines on the underside of her arms were well done. The white on the torso are a little fuzzy and the design painted across different parts of the body are not aligned properly in the standing position. The head looks nice. I like the pink around her red outlined eyes which she spots in the comics but I think they over did it a little. The hood is a separate piece and removable. I think it's of a good shape and size. It also has some wrinkles at the back. The inside of it has painted web lines. They did a pretty a good job of it except for near the edges where there's white specks showing.

Accessories. She comes with an alternate unmasked head and a pulled down hood portion. Also included is Absorbing Man's wrecking ball which is similar to the one that came with Thunderball and Piledriver.

I love the look of the unmasked head. I think the likeness is spot on. The eyes and lips were very well painted. The hair too has great detail. I tried using the hood with the unmasked head but unfortunately it can't fit inside due to her hair.

Articulation. She's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look up and down, and around well with the masked head. The hood does not hinder head articulation and it follows the direction she is looking. She can only look down and to the sides with the unmasked head. She cannot look up due to her hair.

Comparison shots.

Nice figure! I hope they release more Spider-Verse Spider characters. At the top of my list is Spider-Ham! Thanks for viewing!

What a very cool figure!

I am with you on Spider Ham! Come to think of it, Hasbro is almost halfway in completing the Web Warriors.
