Some 30,000 Singaporeans sailed back through HISTORY™ to the Viking Village of Kattegat to visit the fearsome Ragnar Lothbrok and the shield-maiden Lagertha the past week.

To mark the return of the highly anticipated historical drama series, VIKINGS, the Marina Square Central Atrium was transformed into a bustling Viking Village, where visitors could learn about how the Vikings lived, fought and conquered. Over four days, from 26 February to 1 March, original costumes from the production were placed on show, and visitors of all ages were treated to a host of informative and entertaining activities.

Singapore’s largest ever wall mural was built from LEGO® bricks, depicting a Viking longship crossing the seas. The record setting mural measured 5.4m by 2.3m and was built with over 140,000 bricks.

The mural took four days to complete, with almost 700 helping with the assembly, earning it a place in the Singapore Book of Records for the largest wall mural made of LEGO® bricks.

The finished mural will be taken apart and the pieces donated to more than five charities. Participants also wrote messages and Lunar New Year greetings to the beneficiaries at the Viking Village.

The Viking Village offered the public an opportunity to learn about Viking history and culture through various educational and interactive activities.

Original costumes from the production were put on show at the Viking Village.

Visitors to the Viking Village stood to win the attractive prizes, including exclusive Vikings merchandise, LEGO® collectors’ sets, shopping vouchers, and even a trip to Denmark for the ultimate Vikings experience, over the 4-day event through various exciting contest and activities.
