DC Injustice: Gods Among Us Green Arrow Vs Deathstroke

DC Collectibles's Injustice: Gods Among Us was a line I had wanted to collect. 3.75" scale DC figures with good articulation are sorely lacking. What stopped me from getting them were reports of joints breaking out of the package or breaking during posing. These figures are also expensive. I got this set cheap so here goes nothing.

This line of figures are based on the Injustice: Gods Among Us fighting game which was released last year. I have not played it but from what I saw on YouTube, it looks pretty cool. Here's a quick look of the package.

An interesting thing about the package is that the name of the sculptors were printed on. I think it's a good idea to list them as most of the time we don't know who sculpted our figures. Green Arrow was sculpted by Robert Lynders and Deathstroke was sculpted by Jean St. Jean,

There's a diorama included. The background I assume is from the game. I like these things.

First up is Green Arrow. He looks a little thin but I still quite like the figure. He's well sculpted and has some nice detail. I like the criss cross pattern of his hood, arm guard and "skirt".  They have a leathery look to them. The strings and designs of his shirt were sculpted. And you can make out the feathers on the arrows.  It's not just sculpted detail, he's also got great paint detail. It looks like they tried to paint every buckle on his costume and the buttons of the pouches. Some turned out well, others have just a hint of paint.

Green Arrow comes with his bow. The bow was made of rigid plastic and it actually has strings. It was painted with metallic green paint. I would have preferred it to be matte. He can only hold the bow in his right hand.

It looks like someone tried to take out Deathstroke. My figure has a noticeable paint chip on his mask. He wears quite a bit of protective gear. There's the shoulder pads, gauntlets and boots. They have nice sculpted detail on them and all were painted with a bright gloss orange to give the impression that they are of a tougher material. The blades on his forearms and boots are quite stiff and the tips of them can be prickly. The chain mail was well sculpted and well painted with silver. I like how his knee pads came out. They look metal. Navy blue was dry brushed on top of metallic grey. Very nice. He has two hand guns. They are not removable unfortunately. They have very good paint detail on them.

Deathstroke comes with a gun. It was made of rigid plastic and has good detail. The gun is a little too big for him and his hands will get stretched holding it.

There's a peg on his bandolier where you can attach the gun to.

I mentioned earlier about the joints breaking easily so I made sure to handle them with care. Some joints were stuck so I gave them the freezer treatment. Even after that they still refused to budge... I somehow managed in the end.

These figures have good articulation. Green Arrow has neck rotation, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, right wrist swivel, left forearm swivel, upper torso pivot, ab crunch, ball hips, swivel double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge.

Deathstroke has neck rotation, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, forearm swivel, upper torso pivot, ab crunch, ball hips, swivel double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge. He cannot raise his arms fully due to the shoulder pads. The upper torso can be rotated in spite of the bandolier.

Comparison shots. They are about the same size as DC Infinite Heroes and Star Wars figures. They are smaller than Marvel Universe and G.I.Joe.

These figures are pretty cool. The costumes are not that different from how they normally look and they have good articulation. I'm still worried about the joints though. Maybe I'll get the other figures when they're cheap. Thanks for viewing!

Those joints would worry me too with the price i have seen these go for i would not want to take chance on them breaking but at lest you got a good deal on them which is great so if these is a problem at lest you won't be out too much.
