Singapore Toy Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2016: Imaginarium Art

It's Day 1 of the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention! One of the first things I wanted to do was to check out the Imaginarium Art booth to get a look at their Exclusive Soundwave which comes with Ratbat! He was not displayed during the launch a couple of days ago. Click this link to see more images of the Transformers statues from that event.

And here he is, Ratbat! The front view was taken with flash while the back view was taken without flash. I'll be going back to the event so as to get a matching set of photos.... Anyway Ratbat looks great! I like the sculpt, especially the ears. They always went missing on the G1 toy. No worries about that happening here. And like on Soundwave and the other cassettes there's some weathering done.

I was unable to get take the back view of Soundwave the other day so here it is.

Ultra Magnus as well.

I caught up with Shah who is the Managing Director at Imaginarium Art and asked him a few questions. Here's what I found out:
  • They had only two days to paint Ultra Magnus for the launch hence it does not look as good as Soundwave.
  • They are going for a semi- transparent look for his chest. That is the yellowish are which may not end up being yellowish.
  • They have heard the feedback regarding the wheels on Ultra Magnus. The wheels may be removed totally or they may insert magnets for them so that customers can have the option of displaying the statue with it or without.
  • Imaginarium Art is solely focus on G1 Transformers at the moment. You can expect more of them to be released.

Here's a quick look at the Imaginarium Art booth.

Check out some of their Marvel statues.
