DC Collectibles Batman: The Animated Series Commissioner Gordon

Here's a look at the DC Collectibles Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS) Commissioner Gordon.

We don't often get civilian characters in figure form, especially for a line based on a cartoon. So I'm really glad DC Collectibles released Commissioner Gordon here and will be releasing several others such as Harvey Bullock and Lois Lane. I'm looking forward to getting them. The Commissioner looks decent. I'm not too pleased with the head sculpt. He looks like a younger guy wearing a disguise. There should be some wrinkles on his face. I do like the hair. That tuft of hair sticking out is spot on. The body looks good. I like the shirt loosely tugged in and his somewhat baggy pants. I think they might have used the wrong colours for his attire. This reminds me more of what Bruce Wayne wore. I checked the promotional images and the colours are different. In it he had a brownish white shirt and light brown pants. I would have preferred if we had got that combination. The trenchcoat was made of vinyl. It was stuck on above his waist. The lower half is flexible and allows for leg articulation. His shoes are quite large and he can stand very well.

Accessories. He comes with an additional interchangeable pair of gun holding hands, a pair of gripping hands, a handgun, a bullhorn, a stand and a base.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, peg hinge hips, knee hinge and ankle rotation. He can look up and down just a bit. The elbows bend less than ninety degrees. He can spread his and legs out wide. The thing I'm most annoyed about is that he cannot raise his legs much and there's no ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

The figure looks good overall. I would have liked if he looked older and had articulation. Thanks for viewing!
