DC Collectibles The New Batman Adventures Etrigan & Klarion

It's been a difficult period for me... I still have some matters to sort out but I do hope things will get back to normal soon. I have quite a backlog which I would like to get through. Here's something I was in the midst of doing awhile back, DCC's TNBA Etrigan and Klarion. I had already taken the photos but I didn't get round to posting them up.

"Gone, gone the form of man. Rise the demon Etrigan!" This is a great looking figure. I really love the size and bulk of him. That though is a bit of an issue as he is top heavy and has some trouble standing. It wouldn't be too much of a problem if he didn't have weak ankles. It appears that they might have intended to give him ankle swivel but did not do so in the end. I took a close look at it and there seems to be some glue at the top of his boots. He's got a great head sculpt. He has a good likeness and looks pretty menacing. I think they got his skin tone just right. There's not a lot of detail on his attire aside from the sculpted white pattern on his forearms, spread open sleeve ends and belt. His cape was stuck on at the shoulder area. It's quite a thick cape and is flexible.

Klarion is a witch boy. Just from his appearance you'll think twice about messing with him. He has an evil look about him. Thanks to his slit eyes with the darkened rings around them along and the sinister smirk. His bowl cut hairstyle and the "horns" were sculpted. He's dressed all in black. I like the detail of his folded up pants and the big buckles on his shoes. His fist hands and open hands were sculpted pointing outwards. This gives him more character but I would have preferred the hands, especially the fists to be straighter.

Accessories. Etrigan comes with an additional pair of open hands, a pair of gripping hands, a stand and a base. Klarion comes with an extra pair of open hands, a pair of gripping hands, his cat Teekl, a branding iron, a stand and a base.

Teekl has a fierce appearance. Its mouth is open and its baring its teeth, like it's hissing at someone. The eyes, nose and pattern on its body was very well painted on. It also has articulation. It's got a ball joint neck, peg joint legs and a ball joint tail. Teekl has the power to turn into a humanoid creature. I guess it might be asking for too much to have a figure of that form included.

The branding iron is said to belong to Morgaine Le Fay and has magical properties. In the episode "The Demon Within" it was used to separate Etrigan from his human host, Jason Blood. The M like brand was sculpted. Klarion can grip it well while it is loose in Etrigan's hands.

Articulation. Etrigan has got a dumbbell joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso with ab crunch, peg hinge hips and ankle hinge. It might look like there is a swivel at the top of his boots but I strongly suggest not move it. He can look up well and down down decently. He can spread his arms and legs out very well. He could really use some ankle pivot.

Klarion has got a dumbbell joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, wrist swivel, waist rotation, peg hinge hips, knee hinge and ankle swivel. He can look up and down well. Leg articulation is restricted by his attire but we still can get him into something of a walking pose.

Comparison shots.

Great figures. They look good and I'm happy with the articulation they have. This two-pack is one of the more worth it sets to get. Thanks for viewing!
