Marvel Legends Series Dr Strange & Astral Form Dr Strange (Rintrah BAF)

Here's a look at the two Marvel Legends Dr Strange figures from the Rintrah BAF wave.

So it looks like Dr Strange is getting a costume change in the "Multiverse of Madness". It has a plainer and simpler look. If going just by the figures I prefer his No Way Home (NWH) look better. This figure has a knock-off kind of feel about it. Especially with that stuck on Eye of Agamotto. It lacks colour and looks a little translucent to the eye. I keep wanting to press it and expect to see lights and sounds. His attire resembles the look from the comics. It has the cross design on his chest. The cross is of a lighter and brighter tone compared to the rest of his outfit. I like that it's got a red outline. There's nice detail on his attire. It has quite a bit of seams, folds and creases on it. The leather like braces on his forearms and the boots have good detail as well. His belt is more colourful than what we've seen previously. He's also got his Sling Ring tucked into it. Both the arms and legs are pinless.

The head reuses the one from the NWH figure. His skin tone is lighter here. The white on the sides of his hair is not that good. It looks rather splotchy and pixelated.

Accessories. He comes with two additional spell casting hands, two hands with spell effects attach and the Cloak of Levitation.

Here's how he looks with the Cloak. It simply rests on his shoulders. The fit is loose. It'll stay on in neutral positions. It'll fall in some poses. The Cloak is a little wind swept. He looks better with it in action poses. There's great detail on it. The inside is textured. The outside is textured as well with different patterns in various sections.

Here's a quick comparison with the NWH version. Still liking that one more.

Here's how they look with their Cloaks swapped.

The spell casting hands were much needed. It's great to finally get some. The hands will fit with the NWH figure thankfully. The skin tone is a little lighter though.

The spell effect pieces are the same ones we've seen previously. They are lighter coloured.

Next up the Astral Form figure.

I won't be touching much on this. The body reuses the NWH Dr Strange's body and is translucent. Most of the plastic was cast in the colour you see. The painted areas include his eyes, beard, the Sling Ring and some clips on his belt. Click images to enlarge.

Some close-ups of the head.

Accessories. He comes with an extra set of gripping hands and the Eye of Agamotto. There's also a lamp which I'm not sure who it belongs to. We'll just have to wait and see. It has quite a plastic look to it and I would have like if some metallic paint was used on it. The included BAF part is the head of Rintrah.

Articulation

Dr Strange has a dumbbell joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down just a bit. More down than up. With the cape on he can't use the full range of the shoulders. The ab crunch is great. It allows two solid clicks forward and two clicks back. The skirt section will restrict the use of his leg articulation. The cloak falls off easily when he's being posed. It cannot stay on even when he bends forward.

Astral Form Dr Strange has a dumbbell joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint waist, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

I'm not that keen on these two figure currently. Love the spell casting hands though Thanks for viewing!
