Marvel Legends Series X-men Movie 20th Anniversary Line Old Men Logan & Old Man Hawkeye

Two old men and a baby.

Old Man Logan (OML) is based on his appearance in the original story. It's the look I prefer for him. There's just something about the hat and long coat. It suits him. The body largely reuses parts from the previous OML. The torso, arms, hands and legs are all reused. The shoes are from the cowboy Wolverine. I would have liked if they made the claws more metallic. Or better yet give us the Hugh Jackman claws. I like those. Those hands do fit this figure and I swapped them in for some of the pics. They did a great job for his leather like duster coat. There's great detail on it. You can make out the seams, wrinkles and the various sections. The coat is torn and tattered, and the edges are frayed. The best part is that they did some light shading on the coat, both front and back to give it a worn look. Nice! Click images to enlarge. I also like that they painted the buttons. The head sculpt is good. I like the fed up, grumpy look they gave him. He has quite a bit of facial lines. His blue eyes were done very well. And also the facial hair. Paint was used for the area above and below his lips. It is sufficiently dark. This is how it should have been on the Amazon Hugh Jackman Wolverine. His hat was stuck on. It looks great as well. It's textured, torn and frayed. Nice!

Accessories. He comes with baby Bruce Banner Jr, an alternate head and a pair of open hands.

It's good that they included the open hands. Logan shouldn't be carrying a baby with claws extended, even if it's a Hulk baby. One thing though is that he can't hold the baby properly with those hands. Which may explain why Baby Bruce looks a little pissed. His hair looks good. With that hairstyle you wonder if that's baby Amadeus Cho. The purple pacifier was sculpted and there's good detail for the blanket he's wrapped in. It's textured and has wrinkles and creases in it.

The alternate head is the same one we got with the previous Old Man Logan figure. I would have liked a new hat-less head sculpt which is looks similar to this new one.

Some head swaps. This new head cannot fit the peg of the previous figure's body properly. It also looks small for it. I quite like the look of cowboy Wolverine on the duster coat body.

Next up Old Man Hawkeye.

I'm really excited for Old Man Hawkeye (OMH). Not because of the character but for its potential other uses. My first thought is that the body would be great for an adventure type character. It can also be used for a mechanic or military personnel. There's lots and lots of possibilities. The heads are very useful as well as you'll see later. First let's take a look at OMH. The figure is based on his appearance in his limited series. He looks great. I currently don't see him being used in the display at the moment though. Unless I have more characters from that universe. I think he has a great head sculpt. The likeness is good. He has a grizzled and rugged, and determined look. I like how his hair turned out. It's windswept and has great detail. It also has light grey shading in it. Very nice! The body is new. The bandage on his right arm was sculpted, as was the glove cuff. He's wearing a sleeveless shirt with a raised collar. There are creases and wrinkles on it, and also on his pants. There's nice detail for his boots. His right boot was only half painted... I'm quite annoyed about with that. There's also a noticeable blemish at his left forearm. This is the first figure I've come across with pinless arms and legs. Nice!

There's yet another issue with my figure. And that is the butterfly joint on his right is stuck. It seems that the soft vinyl for his shirt is either caught or stuck to the torso. It just refuses to budge... a good thing he has the harness to cover up the issue.

Close-up of his head. I really like the hair. Love the shading. His facial hair also has it.

Accessories. He comes with an alternate pony-tail head, a satchel bag, a quiver of arrows and two bows.

We've seen most of the accessories before. What's new is the bow with the wheels at the ends and light grey strings. It's the one he used in the Old Man Hawkeye limited series. With arrow attached and string pulled back he'll look better in pics.

The alternate head is based on how he looked in the original Old Man Logan story. He's blind at this stage, hence the dark glasses. The glasses look to be sculpted on. His hair is neatly tied up into a ponytail and it also has some nice light grey shading in it.

Some head swaps. Old man Thor anyone? I wish Tony's head were bigger. I really like the generic biker gang member on the black singlet body.

The following combos look good too. I'm getting a bit of Joseph Joestar vibes with the OML head on the OMH body.

Articulation

OMH has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge right wrist, swivel and up and down hinge left wrist, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look down well. He can't look up much due to the hair for both heads. It's better with the pony tail head. There's not much range for the butterfly joint. The ab crunch allows one click forward and one click back. The hips are very tight on my figure. And when I tried to moved the legs it kept wanting to spring back.

OML has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle swivel hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. His coat prevents him from lifting his arms straight up. He can do so but it'll be a Y shape.

Comparison shots.

Both nice figures. I'll look to pick up more when it goes on sale. Thanks for viewing!

GREAT Review. OMH is my favorite, especially he got butterfly shoulders. But stuck? you should replace him

I think to get the right shoulder un-stuck, heat it up with a hair dryer and try to pry it with a Phillips screwdriver.

A little hot water and some light pressure should fix that shoulder with little to no problem.

@Craigjou - Thanks! The return policy over here is more strict. The item need to be still sealed and unopened.

@foldabotZ and Tom Boy- Hair dryer did not work. Will try hot water next time. Thanks for the suggestions!
