GIJoe Classified Series Snake Eyes

The last figure from wave 1 of the GIJoe Classified Series, Snake Eyes.

This Snake Eyes is a repaint of the figure from the deluxe set. His attire is mostly in black here which is how it should be. I definitely prefer this over the previous version. And I'm glad we are able to get it so soon. Its release solves the issue of whether or not to repaint the previous figure. His visor has a shine to it which helps it stand out from his mask. Just on top of the visor is a red streak. I guess the Arashikage symbol is behind the visor. I would have preferred it to be fully hidden. The red is quite noticeable and is annoying. And besides the Arashikage can be found at other areas such as on his harness, belt and sword sheath. His top looks to be a bodysuit of sorts. The shoulder pads and arm guards were sculpted on. There's nice detail for his pants. It's textured and has several creases and wrinkles in it. The harness, grenade belt, belt, pouches on his arms and straps on his thighs are separate pieces. His gear too has great detail. I especially like the webbing of his belt.

Some close-ups. There's really nice detail all round. He's often seen with the silver visor in the comics. We can get that look by simply swapping in the head from the deluxe set.

Here's another option for you. If you have the Far From Home Stealth Suit Spider-man, you can use that head and make Commando Snake Eyes. Unfortunately the head is too small...

Accessories. He comes with a backpack, a machine gun of some sort, a handgun, a silencer, a knife, his sword and sword sheath.

The accessories are similar to some of those from the deluxe set. I've selected out the same ones for the pic below. The backpack and silencer are the same, just black in colour instead of greyish. The sheath too is now mostly black in colour. They changed the guns for the standard release. We now get some weird looking guns with holes in them.

Left side is from the Deluxe Set.

This handgun is bigger and does not fit in the holster properly. There's a loop in front of the holster where the silencer may be stored.

I've read of issues with the knife sheath. The knife should fit all the way in like you see below. If not it means you have to try and hollow out the sheath some more.

The backpack pegs into his back. The sword with sheath may be pegged in at the side of it.

Alternatively you can have him carry his sword directly on his back.

There's a peg on the larger gun and it can peg into the free hole of the strap. The gun stays on quite securely.

Exploring possibilities. The handgun can be pegged onto the larger gun. It's not practical but it's a cool idea. Imagine him detaching the handgun with and start shooting at enemies on both sides. It'll make for a cool sequence.

Just to show you the silencer in use. It may only be used with the handgun.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge upper neck, ball joint lower neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel and up and down hinge wrists, ab crunch, ball joint waist, ball hips on up and down hinge, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! I would have liked if he came with his proper guns and also the extra hands from the deluxe set. Still, this is good. He poses well and is a fun figure. Thanks for viewing!

Yoooooooo Joe!!!

Awesome. I am really happy with this 6 inch line. Think it will inject an energy back into GI Joe, even if the 3-3/4 traditionalists are upset. It was needed and I still think they can do some vehicles. Maybe not an aircraft carrier.

I think they'll do the smaller ones like Cobra CLAW, AWE Striker. Personally hoping for Hiss Tank and Cobra Flight Pod.
