DC Collectibles DC Comics Icons Green Arrow "The Longbow Hunters"

Here's a look at the DC Icons Green Arrow.

DC Icons is off to a great start! Green Arrow here is another fine figure. I think the head sculpt is superb. The likeness is spot on to how he appeared in "The Longbow Hunters" series. There's an intense look about him. There's good sculpted detail for the moustache and beard. The beard has a little too much paint and comes across as being rather smooth. Some flesh paint got onto his eyes and mask which is annoying. The hood section of his costume is a separate piece stuck on. It is very well shaped. A downside to it though it is stuck in that fixed position. He will look awkward whenever he turns his head. The rest of his costume is nice. The numerous wrinkles make it look more realistic. The "skirt" portion was stuck on. It is made of a flexible, rubbery material and will allow leg articulation. The belt was sculpted on. I like the gold they used for the buckle. The strap across his body was stuck onto his back. The quiver was stuck on as well. I like that the quiver has dark brown painted at the two ends and the middle. It makes it less plain looking.

Removing his hood you'll see that he's got sculpted hair. Cool.

Accessories. He comes with his bow, two double-arrows, two single arrows, a right arrow pulling hand and a left gripping hand.

The arrows were very well done. Each arrow has a notch at the end to allow you to place it at the bow string and pull back. The feathers have excellent sculpted detail. The arrow head was painted with a shiny silver.

The bow is a simple one. It has a protruding piece for the arrow to rest on. What's really great about it is that it actually works! The string is elastic and you can have him shoot the arrows. It also makes for better looking poses. Fantastic!

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ab crunch, ball hips, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. The torso cannot be turned much due to the strap. The "skirt" piece while flexible, restricts articulation. He cannot do the side splits as well as Batman.

Comparison shots. He's leaner than Batman.

This is a great figure. Fun too. I think I enjoyed fiddling with Green Arrow more than I did Batman. Gotta love his accessories. I highly recommend getting this. Thanks for viewing!

(I didn't get Deadman and Mister Miracle. In case there's anyone looking out for pics of them.)

Nice! Smaller than the DCUCs, huh? That's kinda unusual for DC Direct/DC Collectibles... I guess they are taking over that scale from Mattel
