Singapore, 14 August 2014 – With just three weeks before Singapore becomes a mecca for all things pop culture, the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC) unveils eight more pop culture personalities, starring designer Matt “Sekure D” Fabris whose customised sneaker art has been an international sensation.

Joining him at this year’s Walk of Fame line-up at the annual convention are popular toy designers Scott Tolleson and Angry Woebots, as well as kakkoi (cool) cosplayer Lenneth XVII and kawaii (cute) cosplayer Aliga, who will bring distinctly different cosplay styles to the table.
Comics go wild at this year’s convention with the likes of rising Asian artists, such as Singapore comic artist Evangeline Neo aka Eva of Evacomics, and Western comic illustrators Philip Tan and Aaron Kim E. Jacinto rounding up this latest lineup of pop culture personalities.
Hot Toys, which recently announced that they have acquired the rights to manufacture collectible figures from the Star Wars universe, including the upcoming highly anticipated Star Wars Episode VII set to hit theatres in December 2015, will be celebrating their joint venture with Star Wars at STGCC.
So get ready to be star struck by STGCC’s galaxy of stars for one electrifying weekend on 6 and 7 September at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Marina Bay Sands!

Angry Woebots returns with his group of angry pandas to stir up a ruckus at STGCC. Kidrobot, Disney/Mindstyle, Converse Red, Samsung, FLABSLAB Singapore are just a few of the companies that Angry Woebots has worked with to produce designer toys, designs and live works. He has also worked on a couple of murals, including the Heineken Mural Project, which involves painting on walls using aerosol, rollers and house paints.

Asian Pop Culture Stars
Kakkoi cosplayer Lenneth XVII, a Singaporean who is now active in the United States of America, has impressed many cosplay fans with her detailed handmade costumes and portrayal of Bishounen (beautiful young boys) character. The versatility of her cosplay can be seen from her mature and dark themed cosplays such as Ragyo Kiryuin from the popular anime Kill La Kill, to the light-hearted and cute cosplays such as Makoto Tachibana from anime Free!
