Young Justice 6" Batman

Here's a look at one of the last figures of the 6" Young Justice line, Batman.

I have always loved the animated look and this figure doesn't disappoint in that aspect, unlike the one from Mattel's Public Enemies line. This figure of Batman is slimmer and is not overly muscular. I like that he's got his cape covering his shoulders. I would have liked if he could be fully cloaked but I'm happy with what we've got. The cape is quite stiff and it restricts arm articulation. I would have also liked if his cape were longer, at least up to his ankles. There's some sculpted detail on his torso. It looks like his wearing some protective gear underneath. There are silvery specks in the grey areas of his costume. It gives him a slightly different look which is nice but I still prefer a flat colour for his costume. Other than his face being pale and some black from his mask bleeding onto his skin, the paint is good.

There are what looks to be knuckle dusters inbuilt in his gloves. The next thing we'll see are claws popping out of them. Lol.

For accessories, he comes with two identical batarangs.

The diorama is of a rooftop. There's a gargoyle perched on it. It kind of looks like a Genomorph Gnome with wings. There's some nice brick detail on the wall. Its too clean to be the exterior of a building though and could use a black wash.

The other side of it is hollow.

There's also a smoke bomb included. The greenish smoke suggests its one of the Joker's. You can place it on one of the two small pegs on the diorama.

Here's Batman checking it out.

I think 3.75" figures will work better with it.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, single hinge elbows, wrist swivel, ab crunch, waist rotation, peg hinge hips, thigh swivel, single hinge knees and ankle hinge. As mentioned earlier, his cape restricts arm articulation.

Some comparison shots.

Great figure. Too bad the line is cancelled. Would have loved to have gotten more 6" figures of  the adult heroes. Well, at least we got a chance to complete the Young Justice team. Pre-orders for the 6" Superboy and Miss Martian are now open at MattyCollector. There's no gurantee that we'll be getting them. They will only be produced if a certain number of pre-orders are received. Normally I would have jumped on board but at USD50 for two figures, its rather pricey. And I don't think we'll be getting any dioramas with them either. Hmmm... Thanks for viewing!

Wow. Great figure. I thought this WAS a 4 inch figure. Too bad. Maybe DC collectibles will make some good stuff.
