Here's a look at the 6" Amazing Spider-man movie figure.
Having watched the movie, my impression of the costume has improved. And with this figure, I'm around the neutral point with it. Doubt I will ever like it. Lol. The classic costume is the best. Anyway, there's great detail on this figure. The costume is textured. It has the tiny depressions and lines sculpted on. It looks very much like the actual costume worn in the movie. Good stuff. The paint is abit of a let down. The light gold paint in his eyes is splotchy and there are several paint chips on the figure. His boots has a black wash applied. Odd that its only just his boots.
He comes with three web lines. At one end of the line is a triangular shaped handle for him to hold it with. They should come in handy when taking public transport. The web lines will need some straightening out, they're all warped. I would have liked if they were made with flexible wire.
He also comes with a light grey base. It is similar to the ones that came with the 6" Avengers movie figures.
Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, wrists swivel and hinge, torso pivot, ball like peg hinge hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. The joints are quite stiff. Do take care when moving him, especially the elbows.
The wrist hinge on his right hand functions vertically while the hinge on his web shooting hand works laterally. For Spidey, I would prefer both wrist hinges to function laterally. I guess Hasbro made it this way so he can properly whip his foes.
Here's some pics of Spidey in action. You can click on the images to enlarge.
Some comparison shots. The Tobey Maguire Spider-man 2 figure is the one with magnets in his hands and feet. I think I might have accidentally sold my superposeable Spider-man figure...
I like that he's shorter than Captain America and Iron-Man.
The Marvel movie universe is coming along nicely. That's all for now, thanks for viewing!
