Marvel Legends Cosmic / Captain Universe Spider-man

This is it! Spidey goes cosmic!

This is a cosmic Spider-man but not the one which I really wanted, and that is a Earth 616 Spider-man using the "pizza" Spidey mould. This figure is based on the Earth 13 Spider-man as seen in the pages of Spider-verse. He is larger in size, hence the use of the Spider-UK body. The paint apps are good. I like the use of the metallic blue. The white lines and circles are clean.

Accessories. He comes with two alternate heads. The BAF piece is the right wing of Vulture.

The masked head which you see below left I believe is the head sculpt for the first Captain Universe, Ray Coffin. I looked it up online. I never read the comics so I'm not familiar with the character. The head sculpt can also be used for a Captain Universe Bruce Banner which had a similar look.

The one below right is the unmasked head sculpt for the Earth 13 Peter Parker. I think it looks great. It has a good likeness. He is a little older here, the facial lines are more prominent and he's got a beard. The hair is a little messed up and he looks flustered. The eyes were well painted.

A comparison of some of the Peter Parker head sculpts we've got so far. The likeness is there as there should be.

I felt that he should have come with some effect pieces. A good thing we've got a couple of options to choose from from previous figures. The below example doesn't quite hit the spot. So I borrowed those from the DCUC Firestorm which you can see in the pic after the following.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! It's not the version I wanted but it makes a nice addition to the Spider-verse. Thanks for viewing!
