SDCC 2016 Marvel Legends Series The Raft - Dreadknight

Next up from the Raft, Dreadknight.

Dreadknight is a great looking figure. Hobgoblin's body was put to good use here. It fits the character well, especially the armoured areas. Only the torso, upper arms and upper legs are from Hobgoblin. The gloves, hands, boots and belt come from Baron Zemo. He's got a good head sculpt. It's on the small side though. The helmet has some nice detail on it. The tiny squares at his mouth were sculpted. I also like the stepped lines on the the wings. The wings are soft and flexible. Mine came out warped from the package. I haven't had time to properly fix them yet as you'll see in the pics. The "swirly" type of plastic was used for his helmet. It works here as it makes it look a little worn. The skull logo was very well painted on. I like the tone of the metallic blue used. He wears a cape which looks very similar to Valkyrie's from the older two-pack. I wouldn't be surprised if they reused that and just changed the peg. Both the cape and belt are removable.

Accessories. He comes with his lance which is his primary weapon. I love the look of it. It is suitably long. The length is taller than he is. It was made of fairly rigid plastic. There is some flexibility but you don't have to worry about it warping. There's nice detail on the thick, guard section. The little holes were sculpted. The handle is round while the shaft section is quite flat. I like that some black wash was done to make it looked used.

He also comes with a sword. It is the same sword that came with Baron Zemo. The colours on this one are better and looks like a proper sword. The grip is black and the guard is grey. Like the lance, the sword also has some black wash on it. Nice! The sword may be carried in the loop on his belt.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, sword hinge (up and down) and swivel right wrist, swivel hinge left wrist, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look down well and up decently. As with Hobgoblin, the shoulder hinge can only be moved one.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! I like the look and the colour tones used. I also like the accessories he comes with. Now we just need his Hellhorse. Thanks for viewing!
