Marvel Legends Infinite Series Ant-Man (movie)

Soon to be seen in theatres, Ant-Man.

This is the movie version of Ant-Man. I like it. It looks pretty accurate to what we've seen in the trailers except for one aspect, that is the visible mouth. I would have preferred if the helmet was fully worn. The helmet was sculpted really well and it has lots of great detail. There are antenna sticking out from the top of his helmet. I like that the helmet has got a lot of shading on it. There's also shading at the neck, wrist bands and belt. Awesome to see. The body is new. The costume has the look of tough leathery material. There's great detail on in. I like the sculpted belt and the design of his wrist bands. There's textured lined padding at his ribs, arms, elbows and knees. The paint application is good on my figure. Don't see any major problems.

He comes with a couple of accessories. There's a mini version of himself and also Yellowjacket. They each are around one inch tall. For their size they have some nice detail on the, their costumes have wrinkles on them and the belt (Ant Man's) and metal parts were sculpted. They have good paint as well. Yellowjacket is able to stand but not Ant-Man. He was made with a sort of a sitting pose which you'll see why in a bit.

He also comes with an ant. It's too big to use with Marvel Legends or Marvel Universe figures, unless this happens to some mutated giant ant. It really is only suitable with with the mini figures. The ant was well made. The body has a bit of texture to it and it has some nice detail on it, notably at the feelers and the tips of the legs. The legs are a little soft and cannot support his weight. The behind is what's keeping him up. The wings are gold in colour and have nice veiny detail.

The mini Ant Man figure is able to sit on the ant. He looks good on it.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He cannot look up fully due to the horizontal piece at the back of his neck restricting.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! It's got lots of detail. The mini figures and the ant are cool too. Like I said before, I would have liked if he had a fully closed helmet. I also would have liked if he came with an extra unmasked head. Thanks for viewing!

Very thoughtful that even the miniature mode was included.

Yup. Hasbro has upped the accessories a little, but not enough.

Dear Jason, which Marvel Legends Ant-Man figure do you like best: this one or the Build A Figure version?
