Marvel Legends Series Binary

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Binary.

Binary is one of Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) aliases. She became Binary after being experimented on by The Brood. She gained some cosmic powered abilities from it. Binary is very recognisable for her flaming "hair". Hasbro did a great job with the flames. I love the big starburst. It has some nice sculpted detail. You can see the flames going outwards. The flames are a blend of light and dark orange tones. The flames are of a darker tone towards the ends. 

The body largely reuses the Mystique body. The upper torso reuses AOA Rogue's. I can't understand why Hasbro did that. They ruined a nice looking figure by using a torso with two holes in the back...  The costume details were all painted on. The flames at her upper arms and thighs turned out pretty well. The orange paint needs to be a little thicker as you can make out the red underneath in some areas.

I tried on Carol's unmasked head. It sits high on the neck peg.

Accessories. She comes with an extra set of fists, two flame effect pieces and two fireball effects.

The fireball effects are the same ones that came with the MCU binary form Captain Marvel. They are translucent and are a blend of light and dark tones of orange. They have holes in them and they fit over her fists. 

Articulation. She's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can't look up much due to the flames. She can look down well. 

I put on some flame effect piece on her thighs to try and get that comic look. I think it looks better. The flame effects are not large enough to wrap around though and you have to stretch them quite a bit. 

Comparison shots. So I guess Carol grew a little after losing her cosmic powers. 😀
