The figure and accessories come neatly packed. The Sentinel comes with three alternate heads, a battled-damaged right hand, two tentacles, a Bastion figure with an alternate head and a female Prime Sentinel figure.
I actually got my Sentinel early last week. Like many others my figure had loose knees. I was very disappointed. I mean we paid a lot of money and it cannot do something simple like stand properly. I then wasted a lot of time trying to pose the figure. Yes I should know better than to attempt it... You can imagine my annoyance and frustration. I got disheartened and had a good mind of not doing a post for it. That was until I came across a video posted by the Fwoosh which illustrated how to tighten the knees. You just need to remove the plastic covering piece and tighten the screw. It's a temporary fix but it works. The knees will get loose again from heavy posing like what I do but at least the Sentinel will be poseable for a bit. Click the link to check out the video.
With the knees "fixed" I proceeded to take my photos. I actually completed shooting a few days ago. But I just didn't like seeing my table, the wall and shadows and stuff in the background. So I went and got a curtain to try and do it properly. I'm not used to shooting something this big so it took awhile. Had to rearrange the furniture as well... But I'm happy with the results.
The Sentinel is huge! He stands around 27" tall. Finally we have an appropriately sized Sentinel! One which towers above normal sized figures and can grab them in its hands. The Sentinel is in its familiar purple and pink colours. The armour plating is thick looking and has some nice sculpted detail on it. You can make out the various panels, vents and rivets. The best bit of detail would have to be the exposed wiring and tubing at the ab and hips area. And I like that they used different colours for the wires. Underneath his feet you'll find thrusters which you can see further down below. The plating has a bit of a metallic shine to it. It looks really nice under lights.
Some close-ups of the exposed wiring and tubing.
The upper back plating can be pulled out and underneath you'll find the battery compartment for the LED lights. I'll show you how the lights look in a bit.
Let's run through the heads before that. Click images to enlarge. We get a total of four heads. The default one, a battle-damaged default head, the Tri-Sentinel head (three faces) and the head of Master Mold. The heads of the Tri-Sentinel and Master Mold are bigger than the default heads and look awkward on the Sentinel's body. For display I'll definitely use the default head. The heads all look really solid. The default heads and the Tri-Sentinel have a similar sort of design, with the plated headband and exposed mouths. You can make out the vents and wiring in their mouths.
The battle damaged head has its left side of his mouth blown off. You can see more exposed wiring here, and also on the top of its head which has been cracked open. There's also scratches on its face, a busted left eye with scorch marks and quite a lot of cracks and dents on its head. Really nice!
Master Mold is my least favourite head. I'm just not keen on the bumpy design. There's a good amount of sculpted detail on it. Good paint detail as well. On the inside of the default head and Master Mold there's some sculpted wiring. Cool to see!
The heads all look lifeless with those hollow eyes and mouth. So that's where the LED comes in. The LED compartment is shaped like a ball peg. That's a nice bit of design there. What this means though is there's no neck hinge so it cannot look down or up.
To activate the lights simply push the circular button on his chest. By right there should be four colors. Red, green, yellow and blue/white. My figure is defective and the blue/white light does not come on...
(UPDATE 20 September 2021: Need to make a correction. There should be only THREE colours. Red, green and yellow. What I meant about the blue/white light is that it does not appear at all. It's supposed to appear during the flashing sequence and when you hold down the button longer for the red lights. Holding the button down for a couple of seconds will activate a flashing sequence. Holding the button even longer will keep the red lights going for awhile.)
Here's the battle-damaged right hand. The middle three fingers have been broken off. The cover for the blaster in his palm is cracked and unable to open fully. This hand has got the ball hinge articulation for the wrist. The fingers do not have any articulation. The battle-damaged parts are nice and all but they look out of place on the clean Sentinel body. Attackers are unlikely to just be focusing on the head and right hand. Additional battle damaged parts would have been nice. Maybe some interchangeable plating for the body.
The Sentinel comes with two tentacles. I like that they are very bendy. They are able to hold a normal sized figure's weight decently.
The tentacles peg into the palms of the Sentinel's hand. They attach very securely and will not drop out. Of concern is the wrist joint when it's holding a figure either with his hand or tentacle. My figure's wrists are starting to get loose.
You can better see the articulation for the fingers below. There's a ball joint when they connect to the hand. The thumbs is on a hinge. Each finger has three hinges and each thumb has two. They almost function just like our own hands.
Just to show the tentacles in use.
Bastion is a character I'm not too familiar with. According to Google he's basically a robot himself and has worked closely on various Sentinel programs. He can control Sentinels with his brain and has the ability to create Prime Sentinels, a type of Cyborg. It's no wonder he's included in this set. Bastion is on a new torso. It has the purple section sculpted in and the three gold strips on the left side of his body sculpted on. The arms and legs reuses those from Spider-UK.
Bastion has a nice head sculpt. It's really sinister looking, especially with that metal jaw and red eyes. There's a bit of shading under his eyes. The hair has good detail and it too has some shading in it. The best part about him would have to be that metallic, robotic looking neck. It has good detail on it. It's gun metal in colour and I like that it has that bit of gold painted on.
Bastion comes with an alternate Prime Sentinel head. He's like a mini Sentinel. The head is nice and all but without additional bodies it's unlikely I will display him. And I'm not going to buy more Sentinels. Budget... Hopefully Bastion gets re-released, maybe with cybernetic leg so we can get more bodies. Additional head sculpts would be welcome as well.
This next figure is a female Prime Sentinel. She has a new head sculpt and upper torso. The limbs reuses those from Psylocke.
Her eyes have a black outline which make them easier to make out. The lips were well painted. The neck again is impressive. It has a lot of sculpted detail. I'm not sure why she has the holes in the purple section. Are they bullet holes?
Articulation
Bastion has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. The ab crunch allows one click forward and one click back.
The female Prime Sentinel has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can hardly look up due to her hair.
As for the Sentinel it's got a ball joint upper neck, a bit of swivel at the lower neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, lots of finger finger articulation (see above), diaphragm joint, ab crunch, ball hinge hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He cannot look up or down. The shoulder pads are flexible and will not hinder articulation much. They will follow the arm so he can raise his arms straight up with no issues. The elbows can bend a little more than ninety degrees. There's not a lot of range at the diaphragm joint. It can turn and tilt decently enough for posing. The ab crunch allows a small click forward and a small click back. The hips have excellent range. The knees are loose. There's also not much range for the ankle joints. The panel just above his feet is on a hinge. It doesn't do much to help with articulation.
(I totally forgot to activate the lights for the pics... oh well...)
Comparison shots.
The Sentinel is a great figure! I would have been happier with it if not for the knees. I'm glad that there's a simple temporary fix for it. If not I would still be fuming. I hope you enjoyed the pics. I would love to continue doing this sort of photos, with lights set up and all but I have no space. And now I have to put things back. It's past 3am... I wonder if I can get up tomorrow... Thanks for viewing!

Looks awesome. Was a bit out of my range ...although was tempted. Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy!
Oh my goodness, this thing is a beast. Thanks for the hints on the knee.
I believe the "holes" on the female Prime Sentinel's chest are supposed to be rivets?
