Marvel Legends Series Forge & Weapon X (Caliban BAF)

Here's a look at the new Marvel Legends Forge and Weapon X figures.

Which character is this? Forge? I don't know... I'm not really seeing him. The head sculpt reminds me more of Danny Trejo. Especially so when viewed from the side. He's even wearing a pissed off look on his face. Lol. I think the head is too small and rounded for Forge. I remember him having more of a longish head like you see on the back of the package. It's not too bad actually. There is some likeness. I like the headband, hair and the ponytail. The body reuses the Bucky Cap body with some new parts such as his cybernetic leg and boots. I'm not liking the gloves as they look a little big on him. The boot tassels are separate pieces and are staying in place through friction. I have them a little higher up his leg so they won't drop down to easily. The tassels look plasticky. Maybe a bit of a dark wash would help.

Accessories. He come with a large machine gun and a pistol. The included BAF part is the left arm of Caliban.

The weapons are of a metallic green colour. The following pic better shows the colour. The pistol may be stored in the holster on his leg.

Next up Weapon X.

I'm not really keen on Weapon X. I mean it's good to have him around for situational shots but other than that he's likely to be kept in storage. Aside for Spider-man I don't display the different looks of a character. That said this is a great looking figure. I like the helmet and the devices hanging at his waist. Along with the tubes they really make this figure. The body reuses the Tiger Stripe Wolverine body with new lower legs and feet. He has a bit of a cankles issue. It does not look as bad for him as on Kraven. I like the added painted hair on his chest, arms and legs.

A close-up of the helmet thingy. There's great sculpted detail on it. The tube which attaches to it may be pulled out so we may swap the head. It's the only tube which can be pulled out.

A closer look at the devices on his waist. Love the detail on them. Like the paint apps too. The colours they used for the screen gives the impression that they are illuminated. The devices may not be removed unfortunately. Or the belt for that matter. It's a shame really otherwise we can get a Wolverine figure in his bathing suit.

Accessories. He only comes with an unmasked head. The included BAF part is the right leg of Caliban.

I'm not sure what they were going for with the unmasked head. If it was rage they didn't achieve it. Logan here looks a little surprised and on the brink of passing out. I like that there's some blue shading in his long hair.

Tried a quick head swap. Now to proceed with the bathing suit idea. Lol.

Articulation

Weapon X has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He cannot look up with both heads due to his hair. He is able to raise his arms despite the tubes. However the higher you raise the higher up his body the belt is going to go. The devices on his belt hinders leg articulation a little. Just raise the belt for better posing.

Forge has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots. I don't know where's my Toy Biz Weapon X so I can't compare it with this figure for you.

Nice figures! Thanks for viewing!
