Here's a look at the Kree Sentry BAF.
First the parts list:
Head - Grey Gargoyle
Torso - Yon-Rogg
Right Arm - Nick Fury
Left Arm - Captain Marvel (Jacket)
Right Leg - Genis-Vell
Left Leg - Talos
Mandark (Dexter's Laboratory) is that you? Lol. That's the first thing that came to mind when I was putting together the Kree Sentry BAF. He's got the "bowl cut" and the outlined eyes look like glasses. That's actually how the Kree Sentry looks like in the comics I kid you not. There are several versions of the Kree Sentry and most have the above mentioned features in addition to the plated mouth thingy. I really like how the eyes stand out. The figure is all new and it has a lot of sculpted detail on it. The armour looks really thick. I like the metallic purple and blue tinted silver the plastic was cast in. The Kree Sentry looks great overall but there's one thing which I'm not happy with and that's his size. I think he's too small. He looks to be bigger in most of the images online I came across. It looks like the Marvel Universe display will be getting a new addition.
A close-up of the head. It has really nice sculpted detail. Here you can better see the plated mouth piece with the "teeth".
There are closed circular hatches in his hands. No doubt he has some weapons concealed in them.
Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down decently. He can stretch his arms out well. The elbows bend less than ninety degrees due to the thick forearms armour. Ankle articulation is severely limited by the design of his leg armour.
Comparison shots. He works better with the 3.75" figures.
The Kree Sentry is a nice figure. I would have preferred if he were bigger and if the articulation wasn't so restricted. I'll likely use him with the Marvel Universe display. Thanks for viewing!
This was a neat selection for a BAF. Looking forward to seeing it in the movie.
ReplyDeleteHasbro phoned in this character. Looks more like a kids happy meals toy. He looks compacted down as Kree Sentries are Sentinel sized in the 20ft range, not 8-9ft sized. As you stated & your pics proved, looks 100x better scale wise with the 3.75 MU line.
ReplyDeleteI've watched so many video reviews and none of them showed what I wanted to see. Thanks for the Marvel Universe scale comparisons.
ReplyDeleteI want at least one Kree Sentry for my 3.75 collection. It looks amazing beside those figures.
