Star Wars The Black Series Hera Syndulla

My only purchase from the Force Friday releases, The Black Series Hera Syndulla.

I love Star Wars Rebels and getting Hera was a no-brainer. A good thing a number of stores had her in stock and I had little trouble finding one. Hera is a great looking figure. The head sculpt is superb. She has a very good likeness. Her eyes and lips were very well painted and she has a confident look about her. Her lekku are pretty solid and have markings on them. The white head gear was sculpted while the goggles is a separate piece attached on on the side of her face. You may get the impression that her body is out of proportion. In particular the legs which look too long but it's actually okay. Her orange "overalls" throws us off. There's quite a bit of wrinkles sculpted throughout her attire. There are also subtle ones sculpted on her vest and shoulder pads which makes them look worn. Nice! The straps from her waist is soft and flexible and does not restrict leg articulation. The paint apps are just so so. There are several areas with specks of paint where it shouldn't be.

A closer look at her lekku. Here you can better see the markings on them. They were very well painted on.

Accessories. She comes with a small blaster pistol. There's a bit of sculpted detail on it and also some paint detail. She can hold it well in either hand. It looks better in her left as she has a moulded trigger finger there.

The blaster pistol may be stored in the ankle holster on her right leg. Considering that, it makes sense for her to use the pistol with her right hand.

Articulation. She's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge right wrists, swivel and up and down hinge left wrist, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look down okay. Up, not a lot due to her lekku and headgear. Head rotation will be hindered if her arms are stretched out to her sides. Her lekku will hit it.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! She's the best looking of the Ghost crew released so far. Hopefully we'll see Zeb, Ezra and Chopper soon. Thanks for viewing!
