Marvel Legends Series Star-Lord & Drax (Titus BAF)

Star-Lord and Drax. Obviously.

First up Star-Lord. This is a much better figure than the previous one. For one I like the size. He's bulkier. I think he might have put on a little weight in the upcoming GOTG Vol.2 based on the trailers. Anyway, he's got a great head sculpt. I think he's got a good likeness. The eyebrows and facial hair were all sculpted. The hair turned out very nice. Love it! The body is all new. The jacket is simply awesome! It has a heavy duty appearance. There's lots of great detail on it. You can make out the zip, the seams and the design of the various areas. Another great thing about it is that its textured. The pants and boots too have great detail. There's lots of sculpted design elements and wrinkles.

Just so you can see the print of his shirt. It was very well done. I don't know what it says but it looks pretty cool.

A comparison with the previous version. The overall look is better on this new one, especially with regards to the hair.

He comes with an alternate masked head sculpt and his guns. I'm loving the look of the mask. There's lots of nice sculpted detail. Great paint apps too.

The guns are the same ones as with the previous version. They just have different paint apps.

You may have noticed pegs on Star-Lord's pants. They enable him to carry his guns on his person. His jacket sticks out more on his right and the gun does not stay on so well on that side. The guns will drop off once you spread his legs.

I won't be touching too much on Drax. He's basically a repaint of the previous figure with a new head sculpt. They have given him a shouting expression here which suits him. The markings on his face were sculpted. I'm a little annoyed that his eyes were painted looking up.

Accessories

As mentioned, Star-Lord comes with an alternate masked head and his guns.

Drax comes with his pair of blades and a big shoulder cannon. The included BAF part is the left arm of Titus.

There's great sculpted detail on the cannon. I would have liked if it had some paint applied.

Articulation

Star-Lord has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Both are nice figures. Thanks for viewing!

It's amazing the major improvements they've made over 3 years.
