"This is a Rebellion isn't it." Here's a look at the Star Wars The Black Series 3.75" Sergeant Jyn Erso and Captain Cassian Andor.
A good thing I managed to hold off getting the 5 POA figures as the Walmart Exclusive ones I feel are better in terms of look and articulation. Sergeant Jyn Erso has got a great head sculpt and has a pretty good likeness. Her eyes and lips were painted very well. There's great detail on her attire, especially on her vest. It's textured, has pockets, zips and equipment sculpted on. The colour of it though is not accurate. It's supposed to have two colours and not fully brown. But I think this works and I don't really mind it. The paint apps are good overall. Aside from a noticeable slop at her right forearm I've no other issues. I like that they painted the buckles of her shoes.
Captain Cassian Andor is in his default appearance which is what I prefer. The jacket he's wearing is very detailed. It's textured and you can make out the seams, zips and pockets. There's lots of wrinkles and it has nice paint detail on it. Do a bit of black wash and it'll be even more outstanding. The rest of his attire looks great as well. The head sculpt is good. The likeness is there and I especially like the hair. His look is spoilt by some poor paint apps for his beard. It's splotchy and messy. And based on images online it's not supposed to be that thick.
They both come with one blaster rifle which can be broken down into three parts. The centre portion is a blaster pistol which they can use on its own. Nice! This is a unique feature. Cassian's rifle is the one on top in the following pic and Jyn's is below. Both rifles have great sculpted detail. Cassian's is fully gun metal in colour while Jyn's is a mixture of silver and gun metal.
Here are the blaster rifles as a whole.
The connecting system is different. Jyn's pistol slides into the slot of her rifle.
Whilst Cassian's pistol pegs into his rifle.
The pistols may be stored in the holsters they wear on their side.
Articulation. Cassian has a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, a ball joint torso, swivel hinge hips, thigh swivel, swivel hinge knees and swivel hinge ankles.
Jyn has got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, wrist swivel, ball joint torso, swivel hinge hips, thigh swivel, swivel hinge knees and swivel hinge ankles. I'm pleased with how much bend the knees have.
The articulation of the right leg for both is restricted due to the holsters being stuck on their legs. The right hip and thigh joints can hardly be used.
The four new Black Series 3.75" figures.
Both are nice figures! Thanks for viewing!
