Kaiyodo Revol Mini Solid Snake

Here's another Revol Mini figure for you, Solid Snake.

The figure is based on his appearance in Metal Gear Solid (MGS). He's got a nice head sculpt. There's an intensity about him. I like the scowl. There's nice detail in his hair, and also on his headband. It's got many creases in it. His face has some brown shading on it which helps bring out the sculpt and makes him seem dirt covered. His blue eyes are very well painted. The colour is solid and the lines are sharp. His body was sculpted with a hunching pose. It adds dynamism to him. There's great sculpted detail on his gear and attire. The belt and straps are all textured. There's some black shading on the padded areas. The rest of his attire is plain coloured.

The figure features the movable eye system. It's great that they included it. The thing is though it can be frustrating getting them to look the way you want. A tool is provided to help you move them but even with it, it's still not easy as the eyes are quite stiff.

Accessories. He comes with two extra pair of interchangeable hands, a rifle, a pistol, a holstered pistol, a pair of binoculars, a remote control mine, a base, a flight stand and a white tool to move the eyes with. He holds a cigarette in one of his hands. There's actually a small slit in that hand so the cigarette can rest properly. You have to be careful not to lose it as it can slip out. The holstered pistol can be attached to his thigh by swapping out the empty holster that's already attached.

Articulation. He's got Revoltech type joints at his neck, lower neck, shoulders, elbows, torso, hips, knees, and ankles. The wrists have swivel and hinge. The ankles have pivot.

Comparision shots. He is the same height as Iron Man which I just did a post on. He's a little too big to work with 3.75" scale lines. He might work as a large character with Marvel Universe.

This is a good figure. I'm not sure where I'm going to put him though. I have hardly any video game figures. Thanks for viewing!
