Marvel Legends Series Sabretooth & Wolverine (Bonebreaker BAF)

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Sabretooth and Wolverine from the Bonebreaker BAF wave.

First up Sabretooth who's in his first appearance costume. I'm not that keen on this figure to be honest. He's small and I don't really like this look. Yes I'm aware he was drawn smaller in his early appearances. It's just that I'm so used to seeing him bigger. The body reuses the Grim Reaper body with new forearms and feet. The fur at his forearms was sculpted on. The fur collar (removable) and those at his calves are separate pieces. There's great detail for the fur. Another great thing about it is that there's some dirty brown shading on it which brings out the detail. Very nice! His feet I initially thought reused Puma's. On closer inspection however the nails look more rounded on Sabretooth so I think these are new feet. The exposed portions of his fingers and toes, and the claws was well painted.

Let's put a smile on that face! Does Sabretooth remind you of a certain psychotic clown? It does for me, especially from the front. I guess they were going for a snarl but it somehow turned into a smile. At least he still looks menacing. The teeth were well sculpted. Perhaps some dark wash will make it look better. There's quite a bit of facial lines on his face. The eyes and eyebrows turned out well. The hair looks great. It has great detail and I like that there's some brown shading for it.

I did a head swap with the figure from the Apocalypse BAF wave. I think the old head on this body looks good. Now that's more like it.

Sabretooth does not come with any accessories. The included BAF parts for Bonebreaker are pictured below. There's the lower body attachment piece, motor thingy and a cage door.

Next up Wolverine.

This is Wolverine in one of his modern costumes. I'm not quite sure from where so do let me know if you know. It has a similar appearance to the Astonishing costume. The differences being the black shoulder pads and the boots. The body reuses various parts from the Wolverines we've gotten before. The head is from the brown costumed Wolverine with the body from the Tiger Stripe Wolverine. The claws are the more solid ones like from the House of X figure. His costume is very bright yellow in colour. The blue sections were well painted. The belt is new. I like the look of the gold and red X belt buckle. The belt strap is textured.

This Wolverine has the heat claws, an ability he developed when he resurrected. Hence the red colour near the hands which fades as it goes up towards the points. The base colour of the claws is an off-white colour.

If you're looking for some alternative hands for him the closest match I found are the hands from the Love Triangle 3-pack.

Wolverine only comes with an alternate unmasked head. It's the same head as the one that came in the Wolverine 5-pack. This head has a lighter skin tone.

Articulation

Sabretooth has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well.

Wolverine has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Sabretooth is a good figure. I'm just not a fan of the look and that smile. Wolverine is more interesting and looks good. Just need to replace those heat claws. Thanks for viewing!
