DC Collectibles DC Comics Icons Batgirl of Burnside

It's the Batgirl of Burnside!

The Batgirl of Burnside is a more hip and updated version of the character. She looks awesome! She's got a great head sculpt. The likeness is good. She wears a hint of a smile on her face and has a pleasant and cheerful appearance. Her eyebrows, eyes and lips were painted very well. Her hair was well done and I like that it's got some black shading in it. Her costume is leather like and looks to be padded. There's some nice sculpted detail on it. The logo was sculpted and you can make out the zips in the front and on her forearms. There are also some visible creases and wrinkles. I like that they painted the studs on her cape and the zips.  Her belt is a separate piece. Just one side of it was stuck on and the other half hangs loosely from her waist. The paint apps are okay. There's a bit of slop at the Bat logo. The wrist cuffs and the strap on her thigh could use more paint to match the other yellow areas of her costume.

Accessories. She comes with an alternate head with wind swept hair, an alternate wind swept cape, a grapple gun, her smartphone, a pair of gripping hands, a gun firing right hand and and a "selfie taking" left hand. The capes stay on pretty securely and you can peg and unpeg them easily. The smartphone fits best in her "selfie" hand but it can also be held with her gripping hands. I would have liked if she came with one or two more crime fighting accessories, a batarang for instance.

She also comes with her motorcycle which looks absolutely fantastic! There's great detail on it. The engine was well done and there's a monitor on the dashboard. The front tire may been turned left and right and both tires are able to roll. I really love the metallic shine on the body and I love the different tones of purple used. The tires look clean but they actually have a bit of light brown wash on it to show that the motorcycle has been in used. There's a major issue with it and that it is unable to stand on its own. It should really have had a kickstand or something.

That's where the included base comes in. The base is a piece of road with splashes of muddy water on it.

There are clips within the puddles which will clip the tires securely to the base. This makes for a cool way of holding the motorcycle up. Another feature of the puddles is that they are on hinges so that the motorcycle may be leaned to a side. Very nice!

Here's Batgirl on her motorcycle with her hair and cape in motion. She looks rather awkward... If only she could bend her body more and look up more.

We can still make it work. We just need to find the nice angles and you can get some cool shots.

You can better see the alternate head here. She has wind swept hair and is wearing a smile on her face. It looks like she's enjoying her ride.

Articulation. She's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ab crunch, ball hips, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. She can hardly look down or up. There's not enough forward bend for the ball joint and ab crunch combination. I would have liked if she had thigh swivel.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! Thanks for viewing!
