DC Collectibles Batman The Animated Series Clayface

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all! I have a lump of clay for you today. Clayface to be exact!

There's not much to say about Clayface except that he is a really cool looking figure. The sculpt is superb and he looks like he stepped right out of the show. He's got a great head sculpt. He's got a mean look about him. The teeth were sculpted and I like that they outlined the eyes to help them stand out. The head was made of the softer, flexible type of plastic. This helps us to remove the head easier and not scratch the plastic too much while turning the head. I just hope it doesn't discolour. There's nice sculpted detail on the body. You can see layers of clay but not too much as this is based on BTAS after all. There are some smooth areas. I think they got the colour tone right as well. He is surprisingly stable for a large figure with small feet.

Accessories. He comes with an alternate enraged shouting head, an arm with a ball and chain, an axe arm, a hook arm and a stand and base. The alternate arms swap in at the elbows and you can use them on either side. I love the alternate head. You can really see how furious he is.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, ball joint torso, ab crunch, peg hinge hips and ankle swivel. A number of the joints on my figure were stuck so do be careful when trying to move them. He cannot look up or down. The ab crunch does not allow much forward bend. He can arch backwards decently. While the leg articulation is usable he'll be unable to stand in any pose.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! Thanks for viewing!
