Marvel Legends Infinite Series Spider-girl (Warriors of the Web)

Keeping things with the family. Presenting Spider-girl!

Her name is May "Mayday" Parker, aka Spider-girl. She's the daughter of the true Spider-man in an alternate universe. I remember reading a couple of issues of the comic when it first came out but I can't recall much about it. Spider-girl is a teenager and is appropriately on the Anya Spider-girl body. She modelled her costume after Ben Reilly's. I like the tone of the colours. The paint apps is excellent. The line work once again is superb. The paint on her upper torso is matte while that on her arms and legs is glossy. It's hardly noticeable actually. She has two web shooting hands. I feel she should have different hands, maybe a fist or something. We can't be posing her shooting dual webs all the time. The best solution would be to include interchangeable hands. Her web shooters look a little too big for her. They are separate pieces and are removable by popping off the hands.

There's an unpainted area on both sides of her body. After recovering from my "What the..." moment, I did a quick check online. It seems that in her Amazing and Spectacular titles her costume design has the blue area. Do correct me if I'm wrong. If this figure is based on that then it was poorly done. It looks what it is, an unpainted section rather than part of her costume design. The blue used for it is of a lighter tone than the rest of her costume. I would rather it be fully painted like in the first run of her comic.

Articulation. She's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, torso pivot, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. The articulation may be suitable for other characters but not Spider-girl.

Comparison shots.

Looks wise she's great. We'll have to make do with the articulation. Thanks for viewing!
