The AoA Sabretooth is a kinder and less aggressive version of the character. Even so I think the smile on the default head of the figure is a bit much. He looks to be in a very good mood. It just seems weird. Maybe I'm not used to seeing him like this. The head sculpt is certainly unique. He's got a tooth showing with that smile. I imagine him eyeing something good to eat. The eyebrows were sculpted. And there's good detail for his hair. The body is where there's a notable improvement for a Sabretooth. The Astonishing Colossus's body is reused here with new arms and boots. I'm happy that he's bigger and bulkier here. They made a minor modification to the body and that is they made a hole in his back. It's for the collar piece to peg into. The collar piece is flush to his back while it hovers in the front. I will probably stick in down. The collar is textured and leather like. So too the gloves, belt and boots. They look really nice. The bracers, glove cuff and belt each is a separate piece. The arms are textured. They actually sculpted some hair detail for him. And did some shading too. Great stuff!
Here's some close-ups of his face.
The upper portion of his bracers differ from the section at the back of his hand. Swirly plastic was used for the upper portion whereas the back of his hand has a metallic appearance.
Accessories. He comes with an alternate angry head, two pony tails, and a set of fists. It's good that Hasbro gave us two pony tails. I can't imagine having to switch it when we swap the heads. The two pony tails are the same. I would have liked if he came with some claw hands. The included BAF parts are the head and bandana ends of Colossus.
Now this is the Sabretooth I'm more familiar with. Angry and fierce. His eyes are all white here and he's gritting his teeth in an angry snarl. They did the outline for his eyes very well. The hair looks to be the same as on the default head. I would have liked if it were a little messed up. To show him in the midst of action.
In case anyone wants to see how the head looks like on the previous figure.
Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. The pony tail may be rotated. The pony tail will hinder neck articulation a little. As it's flexible he is still able to look up and down, and turn his head pretty well.
Comparison shots.
Great figure! I like his size and bulk. He just needs some claw hands. Thanks for viewing!

I don't know much about the Age of Apocalypse story arc, but this dude looks awesome.
First thought looking at it was that body looks familiar...then you mentioned it's the same as the Colossus BAF then it clicked lol ...cool having a bigger Sabretooth, still remember to old AOA Sabretooth.
