One look at Lady Deathstrike and you know she's a significant upgrade over the Toy Biz version. So glad Hasbro finally released her. She's simply gorgeous! She's got a great head sculpt. She wears a stern and serious look on her face. It goes along well with her windswept hair. The combination makes for a good dramatic look. Her lipstick is quite glossy. Her lower lip may appear white in the pics, that's just the light reflecting. Her body is totally new. I'm not sure what the attire she's wearing is called but it's well done. There's some nice sculpted detail on it. The best part of her would have to be the sculpted cybernetics. They were well painted too. Then there's her extended fingers and nails. They were really well done. And I like that the nails were painted.
Here's a close-up of her face...
...and of the cybernetic components. Nice!
Lady Deathstrike does not come with any accessories. The included BAF part is the torso of Xemnu.
Heading over to Arcade.
Arcade typically wears a suit. And that makes things easy for Hasbro as they can simply reuse one of the previous suited up bodies. In this case Agent Coulson's. There are some new parts. They include the bow tie, a new suit with buttoned up vest and the very raised platform sneakers. I like that they painted the buttons on his shirt and suit. They also did the red polka dots of his bow tie well. He's got a nice head sculpt. He has a rich kid kind of look which he is. His hair is well combed and he seems very friendly with that smile. Don't let his image fool you though, you know and I know he's actually a sinister villain.
Accessories. He comes with an alternate head and a cane. His grip on the cane in quite loose and it tends to slide down in his hand. The included BAF part is the right leg of Xemnu.
With the alternate head his true nature can be seen. He has a crazed and cunning look about him. His long hair adds that. It kinda reminds me of the Jesse Eisenburg Lex Luthor. Just need to get him a different set of clothes. Anyway I prefer this over the default head.
Articulation
Arcade has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. The neck articulation is fine with his short hair. Looking up is hindered by his long hair. The ab crunch cannot be used due to his suit.
Lady Deathstrike has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge right wrist, swivel and up and down hinge left wrist, ball joint waist, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look up and down well. She cannot bend forward or back much.
Comparison shots.
Both figures are great! Thanks for viewing!
Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI'm very jealous of your Psylocke and Sabretooth! Those are two I missed out on!
So glad they finally released Arcade. He was always one of my favorites.
ReplyDelete@Barbecue17 - Hope you can get them some day.
