Marvel Legends Series Heimdall & Valkyrie (Bro Thor BAF)

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Heimdall and Valkyrie.

I'm sure many of us would have preferred Heimdall in his armoured look instead of this fugitive get-up as seen in Thor: Ragnarok. And what's worse is he seems a little scrawny. I'm okay with his height. It's not all that bad. I think he has a great head sculpt. There's a good likeness. They did the eyes well enough and there's nice detail for his beard and hair. There's also some dirt on his face. The body is new. Heimdall is dressed in a vest and pants. There's nice sculpted detail all round. His vest has a tear in it from him being slashed. There's a gash at his abdomen and on his right arm. I think they came from his fight with Thanos and his crew. I don't recall him being wounded in Ragnarok in those areas. The belt and strap is a separate piece. The light brownish colour of his right knee probably illustrates mud. So too the reddish brown wash on his boots. Or it could be blood...

Accessories. He comes with a cloak and his sword. The included BAF part is the left leg of Thor.

Third's time the charm. We finally have the sword's owner. Lol. Based on images online I think this latest sword is the most screen accurate. I personally prefer the one with the darker blade from the three-pack.

From L-R: Thor/Valkyrie Two-pack, Heimdall, Rocket/Thor/Groot Three-pack

Here's how he looks with the cloak. The cloak is textured and has nice detail on it. It has a hood hanging at the back. And there's a slit there for which to carry his sword. Like that they did that. The cloak is quite stiff and it restricts articulation on his right side.

Here's a closer look at his face. You can better make out the dirt on his face. I would have liked if they could have made made his yellow eyes stand out more.

Next up Valkyrie.

Valkyrie is dressed in her armour and she looks good. I didn't know it was off white in colour. It always appeared more greyish on screen. Anyway there's lots of great sculpted detail on her armour and it's textured. There are two "flaps" which are separate pieces attached at her waist. They are flexible and allow leg articulation. The paint apps are good. I've no complaints with the gold areas and the blue lines are decent. She has a nice head sculpt. The likeness is there but I just feel something is off. Valkyrie has some trouble standing. It's even tougher putting her in a pose.

Just to show you her boots. Those are some high platforms.

Accessories. She comes with a cape, her sword and a sheath. The sword and sheath are the same as those  that came in the two-pack. I would have liked if she also came with a spear. She used one in Endgame. The included BAF part is the right leg of Thor.

And here's how she looks with the cape. I like the wind-swept look. It's great for action poses. On the back of the cape are three interlocked triangles. I'm not sure what it symbolises so I Googled it. I found that it is generally considered a symbol of Odin. In the Marvel Universe context I don't know if it means anything else. Do let me know if you know.

There's no proper place for her to store her sword. What we can do is to slot it in one of the gaps of her armour flaps. I think it looks pretty good.

I tried the head from the two-pack on the figure. It fits but looks a little big. It's still passable though. Now we can have two different Valkyries.

Articulation

Heimdall has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel and up and down hinge right wrist, swivel hinge left wrist, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well.

Valkyrie has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look up and down well. She can't bend forward much. She can arch back and tilt her body to the sides decently. The flaps at her waist are flexible and allows leg articulation. With her cape on she cannot raise her arms fully or the cape will drop off.

Comparison shots.

Both nice figures. Hopefully we'll see Heimdall released in his armour. Thanks for viewing!
