Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Indoraptor (Super Posable)

I thought Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was a good movie. So much so it made me take a closer look into the toys which I'm glad I did or I wouldn't have known about the super posable Indoraptor. Dinosaur toys usually have limited articulation but not this guy. Seeing the joints on it I just had to get it. Local retail does not carry the the full range so I had to get this from overseas. It cost a bit to bring it in but I think it's worth it.

Its tail is not attached to the body in the box. Attaching it is very easy but take note once its on it cannot come off. The tail may only be attached facing downwards. I would have preferred it to be facing upwards so it can tail swipe some figures. 

The Indoraptor did not disappoint. Once out of the box I couldn't help but fiddle around with it, trying out various poses. It is seriously very posable. I'll touch more on the articulation later. The Indoraptor is a great looking dino. It's very fearsome and menacing. They got the look down very well. There's great detail around. Practically the whole of its body is textured. And you can make out the muscles and veins on the under belly. Very nice! The claws and the plates running down the length of his back have a bit of metallic shine to them. Normally that would help make them stand out more but the plastic used for the body is glossy as well, giving it a wet and slick appearance. The coloured pattern on the side of its body was well done. It is a mixture of light and dark gold. One complaint I have is the noticeable mould line right on his nose area. It's quite distracting.

If you've watched the movie you'll recall that the Indoraptor tends to tap its big claw from time to time. I don't know why it does that. I guess it might be impatient with its victim of something. I was discussing this with a friend and he mentioned that it could be to bring attention to its massive sharp claws. That made sense. I know I wouldn't want to be slashed by them. On the toy it has both big claws raised. I get that it's referencing the film but I think it would be better if at least one of them was on the ground to give the toy more stability. The Indoraptor can stand quite well by the way. I'm talking about for posing. 

You know that it came from Jurassic Park as its foot is branded with the logo. I'm not sure what the sticker means. I'll likely just remove it. 

The Indoraptor has a good amount of articulation for a dinosaur. It's got a jaw hinge, ball joint upper neck, ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball hips, swivel hinge knees, swivel hinge lower legs, ball joint tail and ball joint lower tail. Please excuse the anatomy, I probably listed some of the parts wrongly but I think it's easier to understand. Some of the ball joints may be dumbbell joints, I can't say for certain unless I crack it open which I'm not going to do. I'm quite impressed with this guy. The range of movement of the articulation points are good. The only thing is that the tail can get in the way of some poses.  

A comparison with some Marvel Legends figures. I think the Indoraptor is supposed to be bigger. I feel this is more of a Velociraptor's size which is still good for use in dios and action shots.

The Indoraptor is a great figure. It has great detail and I love the articulation. Thanks for viewing!
