Star Wars The Black Series Galaxy's Edge Hondo Ohnaka

Hello friends! Here's a look at everyone's favourite space pirate... oops... I mean legitimate businessman, Hondo Ohnaka.

I'm glad Hondo has been re-released as a single figure. Though he still costs quite a bit, it's better than going after the three pack which he was previously released in. Hondo is based on his appearance at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland. From what I Googled, the events at Galaxy's Edge take place between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Hence Hondo has a much older appearance. He has deep facial line and there's quite a bit of wrinkles and skin tags on his face. There's some black wash on his face which brings out the details. I wish there was some wash for the spikes growing from his face. They look too clean in comparison. The goggles is a separate piece stuck on. It's got yellow tinted lenses and you can see his eye through them. There's nice sculpted detail for his turtle shell like helmet. It has a weathered appearance. He has dreadlocks. They have a bit of texture to them. I like that they painted the hair bands. We get a little peak of his chest. His skin looks hardened. It's got a bit of shading in the crevices. Nice! There's a good amount of sculpted detail on his attire. There's lots of wrinkles on his shirt, pants and leather like boots. His long coat is textured. The forearm bracers have a weathered appearance thanks to some black wash. The lower "sash" portion with belt and attached holster is a separate piece. There's not much leeway for the strap of the holster and it will bunch up when he lifts his left leg.

Some close-ups of his face. I didn't notice it earlier. There's a communications device attached with his goggles.

Just to show you the detail of his helmet. Really nice.

Hondo only comes with a blaster pistol. It has some nice sculpted detail on it. I like the shiny silver colour and the gold paint detail. It's even got a little black wash on it which gives it a weathered look. Nice! The pistol may be stored in the holster on his left leg.

He holds the pistol better in his left hand. With his right it'll be pointing upwards. There's also no trigger finger there.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint upper neck, ball joint lower neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge right wrist, swivel and up and down hinge left wrist, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He cannot look up or down at all. He is able to turn his head and tilt is slightly. He can bend forward and back a little. His left leg is a little hindered by the holster. And when you move the leg the strap for the holster will get bent and look awkward. The knee joints are quite big and look awkward in some poses.

Comparison shots.

Nice figure! Thanks for viewing!

@Steelik - Hi, if you're in the US it's a Target exclusive. If you're in Singapore I don't know if the shops will get this. I shipped mine in.
