Marvel Legends Series Klaw & Shuri Toys'R Us Exclusive Two-Pack

Here's a look at one of the last Toys'R'Us Exclusives, the Marvel Legends Klaw and Shuri two-pack. 

I was not so hot about this two-pack initially to be honest but that's all changed now with it in hand. I especially love how Klaw turned out. They did a great job with him. It is a huge improvement over the previous version. The sculpt, colours and articulation are so much better. He's got a great head sculpt. He looks really menacing. The eyes which stand out very well and the chrome teeth contribute to that. The design on his head was mostly sculpted. The lines on his face were painted. The body reuses the Sunfire body. I like the dark red colour he's cast in. The sonic emitter is attached to his right arm. It is gun metal in colour and has tiny shiny specks in it. The design of his "trunks" was painted on. 

A quick comparison with the previous version. No contest as to which is the better figure.

Shuri is the half sister of T'Challa. She took up the mantle of the Black Panther for a time, hence her appearance you see below. This is all based on the comics but I imagine she will put on the suit one day in the MCU. The figure looks good. The long and slim shape of the head really suits her. The eyes stand out very well. The body reuses the Hellcat body. Her gloves and boots were painted on. She wears wrappings for her boots. The necklace and belt are separate pieces. They got a bit lazy with the belt. They gave her Rogue's belt which has the X logo on it. I didn't know she joined the X-men... The cape reuses Sif's cape. I like that they did a grey wash on the fur area. 

There's one major issue with Shuri and that is her feet. They were not well attached. The peg does not fit properly and she's not very stable. The hinge is ratcheted and it's hard to position her feet for a proper pose.   

Accessories

Klaw comes with a pink sonic effect piece. The effect is the same one we have seen before that came with the likes of Wonder Man and Havok. The piece does not fit well on the sonic emitter and tends to drop off. 

In addition to the cape and necklace which are removal, Shuri comes with a spear. The spear is the same one that came with the Walmart Black Panther. Shuri's has a gold spearhead and red feathers. She can grip it well in her right hand.

Articulation

Klaw has a ball hinge neck, butterfly joint, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge left wrist, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well and can also cock his head.

Shuri has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel and up and down (handshake) hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look up and down very well and can cock her head. The "handshake" hinges for both wrists does not suit her. I would have preferred if at least her left wrist hinge was the usual. Her cape restricts her from raising her arms up all the way. It also hinders low poses.
