Marvel Legends Series Black Bolt (Okoye BAF) & Medusa (Walgreens)

A couple of Inhumans. Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Black Bolt and Medusa.

Black Bolt is pretty much the same figure we got in the SDCC Thanos Imperative boxset. Some changes were made. He has a new head sculpt and his costume is navy blue in colour which I prefer. I would have loved if they also made the wings removal but alas... The paint apps are good overall. My figure has some silver slop in the front which is annoying.

Comparing the old and new. The new head sculpt is a little bigger in size, has a more square jaw and bigger eye holes in the mask. He seems more pleasant and has a hint of a smile on his face. The "tuning fork" on his forehead is also larger and thicker.

Accessories. He comes with an alternate screaming head. The BAF part is the right leg of Okoye.

I love the screaming head. It really shows him letting loose his sonic scream which is one of his main abilities. His eyes are fully white which suggests he's screaming full force. He's made to look even better with the rising particles from the fork. Very nice!

Next up is the Walgreens Exclusive Medusa. I believe she is in one of her modern costumes (Uncanny Avengers I think). I wouldn't mind using it as a classic version though. The style is quite similar. She's got a nice head sculpt. The mask was painted on. The eyes and lips were also well painted. The long hair piece reuses that of the SDCC Thanos Imperative boxset version. It has good detail and there's some black shading in it. The body reuses the Hellcat body with different hands which is okay. She is supposed to be shorter than Black Bolt. Another good thing here is that she's wearing flat boots as compared to heels. She can stand a little better but still tends to fall due to the weight of her hair. She has soft and weak knees unfortunately. What we can do is use her hair to support. Her belt is a separate piece. The logo buckle was painted on. Shiny dark purple was used for her gloves and boots.

A quick comparison. I like the look of this new figure more.

The hair on this figure is of a darker tone.

If you like Medusa unmasked you can simply do a head swap. She looks pretty good.

Articulation

Black Bolt has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Medusa has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. The neck hinge is very loose on my figure. She can look down but not up due to her hair. The hair also restricts the number of nice poses she can do.

Snoke's throne has been heavily utilised of late. I may have to get another one. Due to the wings, Black Bolt has to sit more forward and cannot really rest his arms the way I like him to.

Comparison shots.

Both nice figures. Improvements can be made but they'll do for now. I like them more than I did the previous versions. Thanks for viewing!

I prefer the first version. Unmusked (havent sense this queen be masked with this hair). And tall. None think Invisible woman be taller than Madusa. Medusa is a tall woman
