Marvel Legends Series Homecoming Spider-man & Iron Man Sentry Two-Pack

Just in time for the movie which opens this week! Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Spider-man and Iron Man Sentry from the "Homecoming" two-pack.

Spider-man is basically the same figure as the one from the Vulture BAF wave. Speaking of which it just occurred to me that I did not finish putting up all the figures from that wave. So this will be Homecoming Spidey's first appearance on my blog. There are a couple of differences between the two versions. First there's the eyes. Why in the world does he have mismatched eyes? The right eye has the sculpted smaller eye and painted over. Did I miss some piece of news about this figure? Or am I just plain unlucky... It's quite noticeable and very annoying! The other difference are the colour tones. The blue on this figure is lighter and more vibrant which I think looks better. The sculpt of the suit is the same. It's textured and the spider logos both front and back were sculpted.

A close up of the head. A costume malfunction perhaps. Oh well...

A quick comparison. Here you can see the reds are of a different tone.

The parts from the Vulture BAF version may be used on this figure. Though of different colour tones, it's passable. Thank goodness for that!

I might as well go through his accessories. He comes with an alternate Peter Parker head. I think it has a very good likeness to Tom Holland. The paint apps are good. The eyes and lips were well painted. I can't really make it out the figure itself and I'm not sure if it's just the lighting but from the pic it appears that there's a touch of light brown applied under his eyes which is a nice touch and makes him look better. One thing about the had though is that it's a little too big in my opinion. The Peter Parker head makes up for the disappointment of the masked head.

He also comes with the web wings. They are the same ones as those released previously. These new ones are of a little darker shade than the previous pair.

Iron Man is up next. Or I should say the Iron Man sentry. As the name suggests, this is probably some kind of drone. It reuses the Mark 46 body with a different paint scheme. The colours look similar to that of the Ultimate Iron Man. The paint apps are great here. Love the metallic colours.

Accessories. Spidey's you've seen. Iron Man comes with an open helmet and one repulsor effect piece. That's right one... they really should have given a pair.

It's not the same tone as the ones we've got previously so we can't match them.

L-R: Mark 46, IM Sentry, Civil War 3-pack

The open helmet is a unique piece. Inside you can see some sculpted panels and circuitry. Nice!

Articulation

Spider-man has got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joint, bicep swivel, double jointed swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, and ankle hinge and pivot.

The Iron Man Sentry has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed elbows, and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

This is a nice two-pack to get. Spider-man looks good with the brighter colours. While I don't like the the masked head, I think the alternate Peter Parker head makes up for that. The Iron Man Sentry is a cool looking figure. A potential troop builder. Let's see what happens in the movie first though. Thanks for viewing!

Hey pal.
I just love your blog.
the "eyes issue" it's right. It's a movie effect to give him expression I guess, like deadpool.

@GIJigsaw - Tony's head is from the Civil War 3-pack and the body is from Chameleon.

@Will - Thanks for the info! I get it. I don't like it. Thanks for the kind words!

Awesome pics!I wish the 3 3/4 Vulture Legends looked as bad ass as the 6 inch.I'm with you on the eye design.I think they could have just kept it all white inside without the odd indentation.

Is the Peter Parker head compatible with the Civil War 3 pack body?
